You know what struck me first about Hotel Rivoli Charme? The name actually fits – it really does have that old-world Italian charm thing going on, but without trying too hard. I mean, it’s a solid 3-star place that punches above its weight, which probably explains that 8.1 rating. When I walked in, there was this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby has these worn leather chairs that look like they’ve hosted thousands of conversations, and honestly, the whole place feels like it’s been lovingly maintained rather than just… existing, if you know what I mean.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a well-run boutique spot – not huge, but thoughtfully laid out. I actually appreciated that they didn’t try to cram in unnecessary stuff just to fill space. The beds are properly comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms have that European efficiency thing down pat. What really got me though was the attention to little things – like, the lighting actually works for reading, and there are enough outlets in reasonable places. You’d be surprised how many hotels mess that up. The street noise situation is pretty manageable too, though if you’re super sensitive to sound, maybe ask for a room facing away from the main road. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly scripted welcome routine, just genuine helpfulness.

Here’s the thing about this place: it’s got personality without being quirky for the sake of it. The staff seems to actually know their neighborhood, which is rare these days. I picked up some great restaurant recommendations that definitely weren’t the usual tourist traps. The breakfast spread is honest – nothing fancy, but fresh bread, good coffee, and they don’t try to pass off processed stuff as artisanal. I’d say this is perfect for travelers who want comfort and character without paying boutique hotel prices. It’s the kind of place where you feel settled after the first night, and by day three, the front desk person remembers how you like your coffee. Sometimes that’s worth more than marble bathrooms and infinity pools, honestly.

  Warm shower, warm room, good continental breakfast and great location ( 3 train stations from central train station and 4 metro stations from the city center). Perfect for overnight stay during late autumn/winter season. Nearby there are options with asian, as well as german food.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom would benefit from a more detailed cleaning/scrub. It would be good to add an extra information in the room for guests to take care that they ventilate properly the bathroom, as otherwise the mold forms. If you need a special diet (e.g., lactose free, gluten free), it would be good to inform the hotel upfront, as these products are not per default offered.
