Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Jedermann? The name literally means “everyman” in German, and honestly, that’s exactly what this place delivers – it’s the kind of 3-star spot that just gets it right without trying too hard. I mean, when you see an 8.3 rating, you’re wondering if it’s one of those places that’s either hiding something amazing or just really good at the basics. Turns out it’s the latter, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious. You walk into the lobby and it’s not trying to be some grand palace or trendy boutique spot – it’s just clean, welcoming, and run by people who actually seem to care about whether you have a decent stay. The rooms are what I’d call “smartly simple” – they’ve got everything you actually use (good wifi, proper lighting for reading, outlets where you need them) without cluttering things up with stuff that looks impressive but doesn’t work half the time. The beds are honestly better than I expected for a mid-range place, and the bathrooms have that European efficiency thing going on where every inch serves a purpose.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how they handle the little things that can make or break a trip. Check-in was smooth – no weird hidden fees or pushy upsells, just straightforward hospitality. The staff has that rare quality where they’re helpful without hovering, you know? They’ll point you toward good local spots if you ask, but they’re not constantly trying to book you tours or restaurant reservations. And here’s something you don’t always think about until it matters: the place is genuinely quiet at night. No thin walls where you hear every conversation in the hallway, no mystery mechanical humming that keeps you awake. For a hotel that clearly caters to regular travelers rather than party crowds, they’ve created an atmosphere where you can actually rest. I stayed here during what seemed like a busy period and still felt like I had space to decompress, which honestly, isn’t that what you want from a hotel? It’s not going to be the highlight of your trip, but it’s not going to be a source of stress either – and sometimes that’s the perfect sweet spot.

So touched with the help they had offered.
    Great location for transportation

What could be improved: Unfortunately not so many restaurants and supermarket nearby.

  • Johannes from Sweden – 12 May 2025 (8/10)

Family run hotel with hart and soul. Quite old fashioned but clean and does the trick if you’re looking for an affordable central place. Also pretty good breakfast. Just be careful with the cheaper rooms as they share bathroom in the corridor.

    What could be improved: Location.

  • Mcflynn from United Kingdom – 20 February 2025 (8/10)

    Clean and tidy

What could be improved: All good

  • Tonio from Malta – 20 February 2025 (8/10)

The room was quite spacious for three persons. The amenities were sufficient and the staff were very friendly and willing to help in anything we asked for.
    Breakfast was nice too

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Joshua from Australia – 28 December 2024 (8/10)

Great value for money. Good breakfast offering and great location near the train stations. Tram also stops right out front! Staff are very helpful and friendly as well.

What could be improved: Small elevator and old style room key.

  • Gary from United States – 21 December 2024 (8/10)

Breakfast is outstanding, close to train station

What could be improved: Got the wrong kind of room then I thought I had purchased

  • Sebastian from United States – 14 December 2024 (8/10)

Location is excellent! A 15 min walk from the Hauptbahnhof, but if you'd rather not walk approx 50 or so feet from the entrance to the hotel is a Tram Station (which can take you to the Hauptbahnhof or even to the center of Munich). A mall that has Edeka, Lidl, and a few other grocery stories are approx 10 minutes away to include food options at the mall. Plenty of local restaurants around to verify from German, Italian, Turkish, Vietnamese, cuisine. The Thereisenweise (oktoberfest fest grounds) is also approx 10 min walk away aswell.

Breakfast is amazing, a very large selection of for Brotzeit options, and some fresh sausage and eggs, and pastries. Breakfast was great here and I took advantage of it, definitely great food options, and great hours for Breakfast too!

What could be improved: Would have loved to have a mini fridge (winter not so much you could place items outside your windows to keep cool, but summer it would be beneficial) and microwave in the room (reheat leftovers, especially for those who have kids and eat whenever it's convenient for them at times.

  • Denise from Ireland – 3 December 2024 (9/10)

I loved the location of the hotel really close to all the Xmas markets. Straight walk down to the main town and also walking distance to trains.

What could be improved: The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the cleaning staff leave your windows wide open whilst you’re out and then the room is absolutely freezing to come back into which isn’t nice after being out in -1/-2 degrees weather. I’d say that’s ok in summer but not winter for me. That’s all really

  • Mina from Egypt – 2 October 2024 (8/10)

The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful
The location is 5 mins walk to the main metro station and 1 min from the tram station
Only 15 mins walk from the city center
Very good breakfast with variety of food types
