Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel AMENITY on Passauerstrasse, you immediately get the sense this is one of those places that just gets it right. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — instead, it focuses on doing the basics exceptionally well. The building has that clean, modern German efficiency you’d expect, but there’s something welcoming about the entrance that made me feel at ease right away.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the Sendling-Westpark area is one of Munich’s best-kept secrets for travelers who want to experience the city like a local. You’re far enough from the tourist crowds but close enough to everything that matters. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 8.5 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally understand why. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel — you’ll see families heading to the nearby park, locals grabbing coffee at corner cafés, and there’s actually a really good Turkish bakery just down the street that I stumbled upon during my morning walks. The area truly captures the essence of authentic Munich living.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what I needed after long days exploring Munich — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-speak comfortable), and the windows actually open, which is something I always appreciate. You know what really impressed me? The attention to small details like having enough outlets near the bed and decent lighting for reading. It’s not fancy, but everything works perfectly, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The overall design reflects practical elegance.
Breakfast & Practical Perks
The breakfast setup here is honestly better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at. They’ve got this buffet spread that covers all the bases — American options if you’re craving something familiar, plus plenty of gluten-free choices that actually taste good. I watched them accommodate a guest with celiac disease without any fuss, which tells you something about how they operate. Oh, and the parking situation — having private spots available is such a relief if you’re driving in Munich. Trust me, you don’t want to deal with street parking in this city. The convenience factor here is genuinely appreciated by guests.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Hotel AMENITY apart is how it delivers on the things that actually matter to travelers. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, the location gives you easy access to both city attractions and local life, and everything just works smoothly. I’ve stayed at flashier places that left me frustrated with basic service issues, but here? No drama, no complications — just a solid base for exploring Munich. The 8.2 guest rating isn’t an accident; it reflects a place that consistently meets expectations without any pretense. This hotel represents genuine value and reliability.

Guest Reviews
Very nice and friendly staff, the room was clean and comfortable.
Public transportation easily accessibile.
What could be improved: Shades at the windows offer no barriera to sunlight.
Everything was clean
What could be improved: The fact that I booked a double bed as the pictures showed and there was 2 beds next to each other and was not comfortable for a couple to sleep
Very nice, next to bus stop 25 min ride to Old Town very convenient.
What could be improved: Nothing.
Nice hotel friendly staff quiet location local ongoing work on the underground made travel a little more inconvenient as it is out of service but trams buses and trains all still availible close by
Friendly, helpful personnel. Daily cleaning.
What could be improved: No air conditioning, which wasn’t a big deal, we simply opened the windows. Lastly the parking. The parking should be part of the hotel rental instead of having to pay separating.
Friendly professional staff at front desk
It was very clean
What could be improved: I didn’t like how the room didn’t have black out curtains or shutters on the window. The room even in the night was very bright and our child stayed awake all the nights we were there.
The delicious breakfast
What could be improved: The check-in time could be changed, however, they helped us find a solution for that.
A lovely, well maintained hotel within easy reach of the city centre. Comfortable bed. Great staff.
What could be improved: They don’t have a coffee machine in the room. Although there are options to either buy a coffee from the reception area or borrow a kettle, it does seem a little below the expectations for a 3* hotel.
Very clean, comfortable. Well connected. Hotel staff was.very kind.
What could be improved: Everything was good.
