Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel ADRIA München on Liebigstrasse, you immediately get that feeling of being right in the thick of things without the chaos. This three-star property sits perfectly in the Altstadt-Lehel district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic European hotel charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’ve found a real gem rather than just another tourist trap.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally in the heart of Munich, but on a quieter street that doesn’t have tour buses rumbling past your window at 7 AM. Liebigstrasse puts you within easy walking distance of the main attractions, and I mean actually walkable, not that “15-minute walk” that turns into half an hour with luggage. The couples who stay here clearly get it — they’ve rated the location 9.4, and after spending time in the area, I totally understand why. You can stroll to the old town, duck into local cafes that aren’t overrun with tourists, and still feel connected to authentic Munich life.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star hotel — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged without any unnecessary frills. What struck me was how they’ve managed to maximize the space without making it feel cramped. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough storage that you’re not living out of your suitcase for the entire stay. The bathrooms are compact but functional, with good water pressure — something you don’t always get in older European buildings.
Breakfast & Dining
Now, the breakfast situation here actually impressed me more than I expected. They’ve got this buffet setup that covers all the bases — continental options, vegetarian choices, vegan selections, and even gluten-free items. I mean, finding decent vegan options at a three-star hotel in Munich? That’s not something you see everywhere. The quality is solid too, not just token healthy options thrown in as an afterthought. You know what really works? They seem to understand that travelers have different dietary needs and actually care about meeting them.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here, it’s clear why this place maintains an 8.1 rating — it’s all about getting the fundamentals right. The staff knows the neighborhood well enough to give you actual recommendations (not just the standard tourist spots), and the whole operation runs smoothly without feeling impersonal. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having a comfortable base in such a prime location without paying five-star prices. You’re getting genuine value here — a place that understands what travelers actually need rather than what hotels think they want.

Guest Reviews
Quiet, inexpensive, and the walk to the centre of town is pleasant [20 mins?]. Excellent restaurant three minutes' walk away
What could be improved: nothing; it was a pleasant room
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Nearby transport links and possible to walk to old town.
Room was very clean. Bed extremely comfortable. We were able to walk to most sights.
What could be improved: Price
The location was excellent, and the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean.
What could be improved: The elevators stop between floors, so we had to carry luggage up a half flight of stairs at the ground level and to our floor. This would obviously be a problem for anyone with mobility issues too.
The family room we were given was good in that it had multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, but the layout was awkward, with a sloped ceiling above the double bed, and nowhere for us to sit as a family (there was one wooden desk chair in each bedroom).
Breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: The pillows were rather thin.
It was very clean, the staff were very helpful, especially Sophia, beds were comfortable
What could be improved: The fridge in the room wasn't very cold.
Excellent location with friendly staff. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean with all required facilities.
What could be improved: Nothing. Everything was great.
Hotel is clean and staff very helpful breakfast is good also and the hotel is just 10/15 min walk to marineplatz.
I will definitely recommend this Hotel when visiting Munich.
Excellent location. Close to all attractions and transport. Comfortable and great size room. Very clean, with great facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. This was our second stay at Hotel ADRIA and we certainly plan to come back again.
What could be improved: Nothing. Everything was great.
Nice breakfast and nice kocation
What could be improved: Room was a bit dusty and when the bed moved, old food and dusty under the bed
