Okay, so HOMELY STAY Studio 7 caught me completely off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. The name honestly doesn’t do it justice because when I walked in, this place felt anything but basic. You know what struck me first? The lighting. They’ve actually figured out how to make a studio apartment feel warm and spacious, which is basically magic in my book.

The self-check-in thing initially made me nervous (I’m one of those people who likes talking to actual humans), but it’s surprisingly smooth. You get your code, punch it in, and boom – you’re in. What I really appreciated was how they’ve thought through the little stuff that usually drives you crazy in short-term rentals. The WiFi actually works at decent speeds, the shower has proper water pressure, and – this might sound weird – but the bed is positioned so you’re not staring directly at the kitchenette when you wake up. These details matter when you’re trying to feel human while traveling for work or whatever.

Here’s the thing about this place that really won me over: it strikes this perfect balance between giving you space and making you feel taken care of. The kitchen setup is legit functional – I’m talking real counter space, decent-sized fridge, and cookware that isn’t scratched to hell. I ended up making breakfast most mornings because, honestly, it felt good to have that option. The cleaning standards are impressively high too, which you can’t always count on with these independent spots. I mean, the bathroom practically sparkled, and there wasn’t that weird musty smell you sometimes get in studios that don’t get enough air circulation.

Location-wise, you’re positioned really well for urban exploring without being stuck in the absolute chaos of downtown. I could actually sleep at night without earplugs, which is saying something. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll see people walking their dogs, grabbing coffee, doing normal life stuff rather than just tourists stumbling around with maps. Walking to restaurants and shops feels natural, not like you’re trekking through some sterile hotel district.

The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be fancy or impress you with unnecessary amenities, but everything they do provide works exactly like it should. The whole experience feels thoughtfully designed by someone who’s actually stayed in a lot of these places and knows what’s genuinely useful versus what just looks good in photos. I’d definitely book this again, especially for trips where I want to feel settled rather than just passing through.

  Comfortable, clean and spacious.

  Everything. 10min train ride to the centre. 5min train ride to Oktoberfest. Minute walk to station. Bakery and garden pub near. Very clean and tidy area. Nice coffee machine. Big spacious room with a lot of light. Staff were lively and so incredibly helpful. Thank you.

  The studio is simply amazing, cannot recommend it highly enough, it simply makes you feel like home, super cozy, I would definitely book it again if I come back to Munich. It's only 2 min walk to the subway which connects you directly to the city center (Marienplatz), from Marienplatz you have a direct train (S-bahn) to the airport; Nicole has been super responsive and provided us all the info we needed to reach the studio and how to access it (a video including), a big plus for this. You can also find a supermarket (Edeka) very close to the studio – max.3' walk.

  I liked everything. Great apartment with convenient location to public transport. Host was attentive checking to see if she could assist you during your stay. I highly recommend this apartment for your holiday stay in Munich.
