The rooms themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but the beds are comfortable (which, let’s face it, is what actually matters after a long day of sightseeing), and the bathrooms are modern with decent water pressure. I appreciated that the windows actually open, because sometimes these newer hotels seal you in like a submarine.

Honestly, the 7.8 rating makes perfect sense to me. It’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but it delivers on what a good 4-star should: reliable comfort, decent location, and staff who seem to care about their jobs. The breakfast was better than expected too – proper coffee, not that watery stuff some chains serve, and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying multiple nights. I stayed during a quieter period in late fall, so I can’t speak to summer crowds, but the whole place felt well-managed and maintained. You know what really impressed me? The little things work – key cards that actually open doors on the first try, elevators that show up when you press the button, WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. If you’re the type who needs to be right in Marienplatz, this might feel a bit removed, but honestly, you’ll save money and sleep better without all the tourist chaos right outside your window.
