Look, I’ll be straight with you about the H2 Hotel München Messe – it’s one of those places that really surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes you book a 3-star hotel and just hope it’s not terrible? Well, this one actually gets it right. The whole place has this modern, clean vibe that doesn’t feel sterile (which honestly is harder to pull off than you’d think).

What really caught my attention was how thoughtfully designed everything is. I mean, someone clearly spent time thinking about what business travelers actually need – decent lighting for laptop work, outlets where you can reach them without moving furniture around, and a shower that has proper water pressure. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re smart about space in that German efficiency way. Plus, the soundproofing is legit – I was worried about noise since Munich can get pretty lively, but I slept like a baby even on weekends.

The location thing is interesting too. It’s not right in the old town where all the tourists cluster around Marienplatz, but that’s actually kind of perfect if you’re here for business or just want to experience Munich like a normal person. You’re close enough to the Messe (obviously, it’s in the name) but also well-connected to get wherever you need to go. The breakfast was surprisingly good – not just the usual sad continental spread, but actual quality stuff that’ll fuel you for a day of meetings or sightseeing. Staff spoke excellent English, which I always appreciate, and they seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. Honestly, for what you pay, you’re getting way more value than you’d expect from a chain hotel, and that 8.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there.

  Location across the Messesee. Short walk to the Riehm Arkaden and bus stop outside the front and underground 5 min. Walk
  
  What could be improved: With open window there was traffic noose and people talking (smoking)sitting outside but didn’t bother me sleeping.

  -A good and hearty breakfast
  -Free street parking available right in front of the hotel
  -The rooms were very clean and tidy
  -We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but the rooms were ready and we didn’t face any issues
  
  What could be improved: There was a connecting door between the two rooms, which was locked and needed to be opened by the staff. We had to call several times before they finally came and unlocked it.

  H2 hotel and H4 hotel are internally connected to each other, there is no such situation as lack of space in the hotel. I recommend booking with breakfast included, the breakfast buffet is really good and high quality. The hotel is 300 meters walking distance from the nearest metro station and 300 meters from the hotel there is a shopping center called "riem arcaden", you can find everything you want here, especially the food court is very big. The hotel staff is helpful, kind and friendly and you will not regret staying in this hotel.

  Easy access to the ICM and Messe Munchen across the road. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of seating. The staff were friendly and helpful and the wifi was good for working. There's a huge mall down the road where you can find anything you need as well as a variety of food and restaurants. The metro is also close by and is easy enough to navigate.
  
  What could be improved: The view isn't the prettiest, but that's to be expected in a business district.
