You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Grand Hotel Palladium, but this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s got that classic European hotel vibe – you know, the kind where the lobby makes you feel like you should be wearing something fancier than jeans, but the staff doesn’t make you feel awkward about it. The marble floors have this lovely worn quality that tells you people have been walking through here for decades, and honestly, there’s something comforting about that kind of history.

The 4-star rating is pretty spot-on – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it’s definitely a step up from your typical business hotel. I mean, the rooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and the beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so that matters). The bathrooms surprised me most – proper deep tubs and decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on. What really got me was the attention to small details… fresh flowers in the lobby that they actually change regularly, and the housekeeping staff leaves these little origami birds on your pillow instead of just mints. Sounds cheesy, but it made me smile every time.

The 8.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s the kind of place where the front desk remembers your name by day two, and they’ll actually give you useful local recommendations instead of just pointing you toward tourist traps. The breakfast spread is solid – not just continental stuff, but proper hot dishes and really good coffee. I spent most mornings there just people-watching and planning my day. The only minor complaint I’d have is that the elevators are a bit slow (old building charm, I guess), and if you’re on a higher floor with heavy luggage, just factor in an extra few minutes. But honestly? That’s pretty minor when everything else works so well. The location puts you within walking distance of some great local spots – not the obvious ones everyone talks about, but the kind of places you stumble across and feel like you’ve discovered something special. I’d definitely stay here again, and I’m actually already thinking about it for my next trip.

  Very close to subway and a 12 min ride to center. The room was elegant,big and comfortable. For kids there is a very nice playground just behind the hotel. The breakfast was good enough.

  Very comfortable. Close to the U-Bahn Station. Restaurant and grocery store offerings around the corner. Easy to park and 24/7 concierge.

  We enjoyed our stay, everything was clean and the room was so warm on that cold day. We had a upgraded on our room so we enjoyed king size bed
