Overview
First Impressions
The Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark sits in Bogenhausen, and honestly, this is one of those spots where you feel like you’ve discovered something the typical tourist crowds haven’t figured out yet. It’s a solid four-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress — which, after staying at a bunch of overly flashy hotels, I actually found refreshing. The lobby has that clean, modern Sheraton vibe without being sterile, and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing.
The Bogenhausen Advantage
You know what’s great about this location? You’re in Munich but not drowning in the chaos of Marienplatz every time you step outside. Bogenhausen has this residential feel that lets you experience the city like locals do — there are proper German bakeries within walking distance, and you can actually get a seat at cafes without fighting tourists. The couples who stay here clearly get it (they rate the location 8.3), and I can see why. It’s close enough to everything that matters but far enough away that you can breathe.
Your Room and Comfort
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run Sheraton — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything actually worked properly. I mean, that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many hotels mess up the fundamentals. The bathrooms are modern without being over-designed, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I appreciated most was the attention to details like blackout curtains that actually block light and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine.
Breakfast and Practical Matters
The breakfast setup here is honestly pretty impressive — they do continental, American, and buffet options, so whether you want a quick coffee and pastry or a full spread, you’re covered. I’m usually skeptical of hotel buffets, but this one had fresh options and didn’t feel like everything had been sitting under heat lamps for hours. Parking is available right at the hotel, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Munich, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. No circling blocks looking for a spot or dealing with confusing street parking rules.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
There’s something to be said for a place that has more repeat guests than most other properties — it means they’re doing the fundamentals right consistently. After staying here, I get why people return. It’s not the flashiest hotel you’ll ever see, but it delivers on what business travelers and couples actually need: a comfortable base in a great neighborhood, reliable service, and none of the pretentious nonsense that can make hotel stays feel like work. The location rating of 8.2 from recent guests isn’t an accident — this spot just works for people who want to experience Munich without the tourist trap headaches.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Munich at least two months ahead for major events like Oktoberfest, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near festival grounds.

Guest Reviews
The room was spotless, in perfect condition, with a great view (23rd floor). The bed was very comfy, I liked the bathroom with a toilet separated by non-transparent glass walls. It was very quiet. Everything was great.
Though it is not in the city center, it is very comfortable to get to the city center by underground line U4 (without changing), and there is one tram line going directly to the Botanic Garden.
The pool and saunas were great to have and relax in after busy days in the city. We also used the gym to work out - this is a great add-on.
We did not take the hotel breakfast, as there are several cafeterias near the hotel, where you get great breakfast with lower price.
Staff was helpful and friendly, and we were allowed to check out a bit later - this was very nice of them!
What could be improved: There was no bar open, but you could buy some drinks and snacks from the machines and still have a good time in the lounge.
Room was clean and similar to photos. Facilities were old but acceptable. It was very hot in the room and they sent us technician to turn off heaters.
What could be improved: Old facilities.
Expensive parking (30 EUR per day).
It was not a good idea to cock in the room using kitchenette facilities as ventilation was very bad and cocking smell was there for days.
Very comfortable room and bed. Lovely gym and swimming pool on 22nd/23rd floors. Breakfast was a good spread too with hot and cold options. Rooms are large, have balconies and both a bath and shower. Staff all very friendly and helpful and multilingual. Overall very good.
Clean rooms, good breakfast
What could be improved: the window did not close tightly and the street noise was very audible
Big sized room, good breakfast, possibility to go to gym24/7, rooms are with balcony
What could be improved: Not close to city center
Room was very nice
What could be improved: As a Finn I have to say that you shoulden´t call the sauna in the spa sauna.
Vast and comfortable room, comfortable bed and linen.
Plenty of storage space and sitting space.
Bathroom is big, with a bathtub.
Facilities are nice, cafe/bar in the lobby.
Friendly staff.
What could be improved: Pool was cold.
Very kind stuff, good location, big room..
What could be improved: Bathroom is old fashioned.
Clean and comfortable. Lots of vegetarian breakfast options.
The locations was pretty far from the centre but it had a good comunication for the public transport. The cleanliness wasn't at the highest standards but it was good enough. We stayed at the 12th floor and the view was nice, the gym at the top floor was awesome, good variety of machines for continuing your exercise routine. It's not the fanciest hotel but it does look great and it gives a very good value for the price.
