Hotel Description
Honestly, the Four Points by Sheraton in Arabellapark surprised me – and I mean that in the best way. When I first heard “Arabellapark,” I’ll admit I had to look it up on the map, but it turns out this area is actually a hidden gem if you know Munich well. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos of Marienplatz, but still close enough that getting downtown doesn’t feel like an expedition. The U-Bahn connection is solid, and there’s something refreshing about staying where actual Müncheners live and work.
The hotel itself has that reliable Sheraton feel without being stuffy about it. Check-in was smooth – no drama, which honestly is half the battle when you’re dragging luggage through a foreign city. The lobby has this modern-but-comfortable vibe, sort of like someone took corporate hotel design and actually thought about whether people would want to hang out there. I ended up grabbing coffee there a couple mornings because, well, German hotel coffee is usually better than what you’d expect anyway. The rooms are what you’d hope for from a four-star place – clean, quiet (surprisingly so, given you’re still in a major city), and the beds are actually comfortable. None of that rock-hard European mattress nonsense that sometimes catches Americans off guard.
What I really appreciated was the neighborhood itself. Arabellapark isn’t trying to be charming in that picture-perfect way, but there’s something authentic about it. You’ve got actual grocery stores nearby, decent restaurants that aren’t tourist traps, and honestly, after a day of sightseeing, it felt good to come back somewhere that didn’t feel like a movie set. The area gets busy during business hours – there are offices around – but evenings are pretty mellow. Parking isn’t terrible if you’re driving, though I’d still recommend the public transport route if you can swing it. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does everything well without any major complaints. If you’re the type who wants to experience Munich beyond just the beer halls and tourist spots, this spot gives you a good base to explore from.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Munich at least two months ahead for major events like Oktoberfest, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near festival grounds.

Anna from Estonia – 7 May 2025 (9/10)
The room was spotless, in perfect condition, with a great view (23rd floor). The bed was very comfy, I liked the bathroom with a toilet separated by non-transparent glass walls. It was very quiet. Everything was great.
Though it is not in the city center, it is very comfortable to get to the city center by underground line U4 (without changing), and there is one tram line going directly to the Botanic Garden.
The pool and saunas were great to have and relax in after busy days in the city. We also used the gym to work out – this is a great add-on.
We did not take the hotel breakfast, as there are several cafeterias near the hotel, where you get great breakfast with lower price.
Staff was helpful and friendly, and we were allowed to check out a bit later – this was very nice of them!
What could be improved: There was no bar open, but you could buy some drinks and snacks from the machines and still have a good time in the lounge.Abdibr116 from Saudi Arabia – 30 April 2025 (9/10)
Room was clean and similar to photos. Facilities were old but acceptable. It was very hot in the room and they sent us technician to turn off heaters.
What could be improved: Old facilities.
Expensive parking (30 EUR per day).
It was not a good idea to cock in the room using kitchenette facilities as ventilation was very bad and cocking smell was there for days.Robert from United Kingdom – 28 April 2025 (9/10)
Very comfortable room and bed. Lovely gym and swimming pool on 22nd/23rd floors. Breakfast was a good spread too with hot and cold options. Rooms are large, have balconies and both a bath and shower. Staff all very friendly and helpful and multilingual. Overall very good.

Sebastian from Romania – 25 January 2025 (9/10)
The locations was pretty far from the centre but it had a good comunication for the public transport. The cleanliness wasn't at the highest standards but it was good enough. We stayed at the 12th floor and the view was nice, the gym at the top floor was awesome, good variety of machines for continuing your exercise routine. It's not the fanciest hotel but it does look great and it gives a very good value for the price.
