The hotel’s positioned in Munich‘s eastern district, and while it’s not right in the Altstadt, that’s actually a good thing if you ask me. You’re close enough to the Neue Messe exhibition center that you can walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you get a real sense of how locals live. The U-Bahn connections are solid — I mean, you can get to Marienplatz in maybe 20 minutes. Plus, there’s parking right at the hotel, which anyone who’s tried to drive in Munich will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Room Experience

My room was on the fourth floor, and the first thing I noticed was how quiet everything was — double-glazed windows really do their job here. The design feels modern without being cold, if that makes sense. There’s this nice balance of dark wood and lighter fabrics that somehow feels both business-appropriate and relaxing. The bathroom was spacious enough that I wasn’t bumping into things, and the shower pressure was exactly what you want after a long day walking around the city. Small detail, but the blackout curtains actually work — something you don’t always get even in nice hotels.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast spread here is honestly impressive — they do a proper full English if you want it, but there’s also this great selection of German breads and local cheeses that I found myself going back to every morning. The buffet setup flows well, so you’re not standing around waiting behind other guests. What I really appreciated was seeing vegetarian options that looked like someone actually put thought into them, not just an afterthought. The restaurant area has these big windows that let in tons of natural light, and the coffee — well, let’s just say it’s strong enough to get you moving but smooth enough that you’ll want a second cup.
