When I walked into Fewo am Josephsplatz, I actually stopped and did a little double-take because I’d gotten so used to cramped European hotel rooms where you can barely open your suitcase.

The location on Josephsplatz is one of those spots that locals know but tourists often miss – it’s got this quiet, residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just passing through. I loved stepping out in the morning and seeing people heading to work, kids walking to school, the whole authentic neighborhood rhythm. The square itself has this lovely old-world charm, and you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist crowds that you can actually think clearly. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate a European city center with a rental car, you’ll know is basically a minor miracle.

What really sold me on this place was how it handles the practical stuff that four-star places sometimes overlook. The kitchen is actually functional – I’m talking full-size appliances, decent counter space, the kind of setup where you could cook a real meal if you wanted to. The beds are proper comfortable (none of that rock-hard European mattress nonsense), and there’s enough closet space that you don’t have to live out of your suitcase for a week. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the whole space, which seems basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong. Check-in was smooth – no awkward waiting around or confused staff, just efficient and friendly. I will say the building itself shows its age in places, but honestly, that adds to the character rather than detracting from it. The whole setup just feels genuine, like someone put thought into making this a place where people would actually want to spend time, not just crash for the night. For the price point and that 8.0 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises – proper space, solid comfort, and a real sense of place.

  Spacious. Clean. Good communication. Location very good: nice neighborhood, close to metro station, supermarket underneath, bakery few minutes away, very good restaurants within 5 minutes … I would definitely recommend this apartment.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing important. Pillow too soft for me. In the smaller bathroom no possibility to hang your clothes. Fly screens would be nice.

  We had quick responses from the host as we needed. This is a spacious apartment and we found the basics we needed for our stay. Location was wonderful for us since we had a grocery store under the building, a metro station close by and several good places to have dinner at a walking distance. Parking is in the same building with elevator access.

  The apartment is bright and spacious and very clean. The bedrooms are all a good size and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is open plan and well equipped. The bathrooms are very nice. The location is in a pleasant peaceful neighbourhood. The supermarket is underneath the apartment which is very convenient. The subway is just across the square. There are many nice neighbourhood restaurants nearby.

  The flat was confortable and clean. The facilities were very good. The area was handy to get to town near the tube.. we could get our shopping easily from the supermarket
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately it was above a supermarket which made it very noisy at night. As it was hot we would have like to open the window. Although the 3rd bedrooms where I was had the refrigerator noise going on as it was above the supermarket entrance door.

  Un piso impresionante con 3 habitaciones dobles muy amplias con un salón con cocina integrada gigantesco y dos baños, uno con spa y bañera. Muy bien situado (4 paradas de metro U2 de Msrienplatz) y cómodo. Wifi, tele.
  
  What could be improved: No hay almohadas sino unos cuadrantes muy grandes y blandos poco apropiados para dormir.
