Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Feldmochinger Hof, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in this quiet residential area that most tourists never see, and from the outside it looks like, well, a solid four-star place but nothing that’ll knock your socks off. But you know what? Sometimes those are exactly the spots that surprise you.

The thing about this place is it just works. I mean, the staff actually remembers your name after the first day (which honestly caught me off guard), and there’s this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at those shiny chain hotels downtown. The rooms are what you’d expect from a well-run four-star – clean, spacious enough, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes. Nothing fancy, but they’ve clearly put thought into the details that matter. The beds are actually comfortable, not just hotel-comfortable, and the bathrooms have proper water pressure. You’d be amazed how many places mess that up.

What really sold me on this place though was the location – it’s in Feldmoching, which I know sounds like the middle of nowhere if you’re not familiar with Munich, but hear me out. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually breathe, but still connected enough that getting into the city center isn’t a hassle. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood than a tourist trap. The area’s got this authentic residential vibe, tree-lined streets, locals walking their dogs – you know, real life happening around you. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to Marienplatz, which if you’re driving, trust me, you’ll appreciate. The breakfast situation is solid too – nothing revolutionary, but they do this fresh bread thing that hits different when you’re jet-lagged and just need something comforting. I actually found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual, watching the morning routine unfold outside the windows. It’s got that 7.7 rating for a reason – not perfect, but reliable in all the ways that count when you’re trying to get some decent sleep and recharge between whatever Munich’s throwing at you.

  Very good as for this price
  
  What could be improved: The key card to room was left on the automatic reception box in front of hotel, with room number and my name – anyone who find this can use my room instead of me, can do damages on my account. That was really stupid and can make big problems –

  The hotel is good, clean and well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: According to the description the kitchen opens at 19-21. We arrived at 19.30 but the kitchen did not open.
  Hotels parking fee is quite high.

  The mattress was very comfortable, the wood and the design of the room is very nice and has cosy colours, the room is spacious and has a lot of storage room because of the shelves, the TV has good quality, the restaurant below has amazing food, the water doesn't leak outside of the bathroom because the shower has doors, the tea and coffee set which is prepared before the Check in is really lovely, the location is peaceful and calming, the whole room feels very homely and the reception is beautifully decorated, the staff is helpful and kind😊
  
  What could be improved: Only minor things like; the sink is leaking, the nightstand is too low in height, the little light of the tv is quite bright at night, the bathroom has no proper door, the floorboards are coming off a bit at the entrance, the price of some drinks didn't make sense: 0,2l of Cola is 3,90€ and 0,4l of Spezi is 4,80 -> the Cola is too expensive in comparison to the Spezi and the led light at the wardrobe is way too bright

  Super comfy room with a lot of space and very nice terrace.
  
  What could be improved: Room has not AC so something to keep in mind during summer time. We didn’t spend time during afternoon so no idea how hot it can get but night are pretty fresh so with an open window youre more than good to go.

  Nice accommodation in Feldmoching! Looked very modern and the connection to the subway to get to town was close by.

  The place was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Good value for the price. Staff were polite and helpful. The area is far from the center of Munich, but its only 30 minutes from the airport via walking/subway and the area surrounding the hotel is really adorable with a few cafes and restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: Location is far on the outskirts of Munich. Takes about an hour from the central station, via tram and bus or U-bahn and walking. Good place if you have a car!

  Location was great 5mins walk from train station
  Hotel was lovely staff were extremely helpful especially the lady on reception rooms balcony etc spotless would stay again 😀
