Hotel Description

You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first pulled up to fab Hotel – the name’s pretty minimalist and there’s not much fanfare from the outside. But sometimes those unassuming places are exactly where you stumble onto something good, and this turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel a little smarter for booking it.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly straightforward without being boring, if that makes sense. It’s got this clean, modern aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard – think Scandinavian simplicity but warmer. The lobby actually smells good (not like that artificial vanilla most hotels pump in), and check-in was surprisingly smooth. The staff seems to genuinely know their stuff about the area, which you don’t always get at places in this price range. My room was on the quieter side facing away from the main road, and I’m telling you, that made all the difference for actually getting decent sleep. The bed was firm but not like sleeping on concrete, and there were enough outlets near the nightstand that I didn’t have to crawl around unplugging lamps to charge my phone – small detail, but you know how annoying that gets.

What really won me over though was how they handle the little things that can make or break a stay. The shower pressure was actually decent (miracle!), and they stock proper coffee in the rooms, not just those sad instant packets. There’s a nice common area downstairs where you can grab a proper breakfast without feeling rushed, and honestly, the coffee there is better than most of the cafes I tried nearby. The whole place has this relaxed energy – busy enough that you know it’s well-run, but not so chaotic that you feel like you’re fighting crowds just to get to your room. I mean, it’s clearly not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails that sweet spot of being comfortable and reliable without charging you premium prices for basic human decency. The WiFi actually works throughout the building (yes, even in the elevator), and there’s parking that doesn’t cost more than your dinner. For a three-star spot, it honestly delivers better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at that were all style and no substance. If you’re looking for somewhere that just does hospitality right without all the unnecessary bells and whistles, this place gets it.

Early hotels booking in Munich requires advance planning during peak festival seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beer culture and Alpine atmosphere.

We had a pleasant stay at the fab Hotel in Munich. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the hotel offers a peaceful and cheaper alternative to bustling city center accommodations. Even though it's a 30-minute bus ride from the main attractions, this distance comes with the benefit of a more relaxed, authentic local experience.

The room was clean and cozy. A particular highlight was the nice view overlooking the tiny local market across the street, which added a charming touch to our stay.

Would we recommend this hotel? Absolutely! It's perfect for travelers who don't mind a short bus ride and appreciate a more laid-back accommodation. The combination of cleanliness, comfort, and local charm makes the fab Hotel a good choice for your Munich visit.

Recommendation: Very Good for couples, solo travelers, and budget-conscious guests who value peace and authenticity over immediate city center location.

Spotlessly clean and comfy room. Located in a suburb handy for where I needed to be with local amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful

  • Yehuda from Israel – 8 October 2024 (9/10)

The stuff was very helpful. breakfast wonderful and spacious. Far from downtown but quite surroundings. Has a parking free!

  • Cihan from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (9/10)

Clean, nice and tidy Hotel which is really not far to Munich centre with S Bahn. You can have the chance to check-on via key box which is great when you prefer to come late. They are very responsive to emails and messages etc.

What could be improved: Nothing at all. You need to walk 10mins after S Bahn station but that`s absolutely fine.

We had a very pleasant stay in Fab hotel and definitely will choose it for our next visit to Munich. There we found all the necessary for us things to feel comfortable. Our room was enough spacious, cosy and very well cleaned during our stay. A big plus for me was the big terrace which I really appreciated as there aren't a lot of hotels in Munich, that offers rooms with terraces. The WF connection was perfect, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We like very much the location of the hotel, which is situated on Pfanzeltpatz, a very charming place. Around the hotel you can find restaurants with Italian and Bayern cuisine, bakery, cafe and the bus station is next to the door of the hotel. During our stay we went running every morning in Ostpark, that is situated not far from the hotel.

What could be improved: I can't mention anything negative. All was perfect.

  • אידה from Israel – 19 September 2024 (9/10)

  • Lin from Germany – 12 September 2024 (9/10)

Good address and will stay there again, as I could packing the car on the opposite side of hotel which is free during the night

What could be improved: Breakfast a bit expensive

  • Carlos from United States – 5 September 2024 (9/10)

The staff at fab hotel are amazing. They went above and beyond the call of duty. My mother had a bit of a medical issue while we were there and the reception arranged for a doctor to come to the hotel to tend to her. The staff alone are reason enough to stay here.

  • Anna from Denmark – 3 September 2024 (9/10)

It was comfortable room with good bathroom!

  • Kenneth from United States – 2 September 2024 (9/10)

The breakfast was great and so was the room. We liked having a balcony, although the weather was hot and there was no air conditioning which we're more used to where we live. The staff were great and we found free parking which was nice. The staff recommended a delicious, authentic German restaurant nearby which we really enjoyed.

What could be improved: No air conditioning. 🙂
