Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first pulled up to Drei Loewen, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s got that solid, no-nonsense German hotel vibe that could go either way, you know? But once I stepped inside, I actually found myself pleasantly surprised. The lobby has this warm, traditional feel without being stuffy about it, and the staff – well, they’re efficient in that German way but actually seem to give a damn about helping you out.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing revolutionary but everything works properly (which honestly, isn’t always a given). What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – decent water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and thank god, air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train. The beds are firm, which some people love and others… well, don’t. I’m in the love camp, but if you’re used to sinking into something soft, just know what you’re getting into. The WiFi was reliable throughout my stay, which matters more than people admit when you’re trying to figure out dinner plans or upload photos.

Here’s what actually impressed me about this place – it’s the kind of hotel that gets the fundamentals right without trying to wow you with gimmicky stuff. The breakfast spread is genuinely good (not just continental rolls and sad fruit), and they keep it stocked even during the later morning hours when some places start looking picked over. Parking was surprisingly easy to figure out, and the neighborhood feels safe to walk around even in the evening. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind or anything, but after staying at places that promise the world and deliver lukewarm coffee and flickering lights, there’s something refreshing about a hotel that just… works. The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s solidly above average without being pretentious about it. If you’re looking for Instagram-perfect moments, maybe keep looking, but if you want a reliable base that won’t eat your entire travel budget, Drei Loewen delivers exactly what it promises.

  Excellent short stopover in Munich. Breakfast cooked to order was exceptional.

  Friendly staff specifically MR Saber at the front disk who very helpful and not to forget their simple but satisfactory breakfast and the service was great with a friendly smile from the waiters particularly Ms. Noor elhoda and all others.

  It’s close to the metro station Hauptbanhof / City Center, and 15 min walk from Flixbus Station.

  Breakfast was very nice. Location is great but parking might be a problem if there is no available spaces in garage. Spacious rooms and well equipped. Free cancelation.

  Short walk from central station, big comfortable bed. Desk in room. Well heated.
