You know what really surprised me about DD Suites Serviced Apartments? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you at first glance, but then you realize they’ve actually nailed all the stuff that matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two.

I mean, the whole serviced apartment thing can be hit or miss – sometimes you get glorified hotel rooms with a mini-fridge, other times you get proper spaces where you can actually live a bit. DD Suites definitely falls into the latter category. The kitchens are legitimately functional (I’m talking full-size appliances, not those tiny European fridges), and honestly, after eating out for three days straight, being able to make coffee the way I like it and grab snacks without calling room service was pretty much heaven. The living areas have this comfortable, lived-in feel without being worn down – sort of like staying at a well-maintained relative’s place who happens to have really good taste in furniture. What really got me was the attention to practical details. There’s actually enough closet space for longer stays, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone uses the microwave, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the shower pressure is fantastic. You’d be amazed how many four-star places mess that up. The housekeeping staff clearly knows what they’re doing too; they manage to keep things spotless without making you feel like you can’t touch anything.

The whole operation runs pretty smoothly, which makes sense given that 8.9 rating isn’t just for show. Check-in was straightforward, no weird hidden fees popping up, and when I had a question about extending my stay, they sorted it out in like two minutes. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period and never felt rushed or like I was bothering anyone. The place has this quiet, residential vibe – you’re not dealing with loud lobby music or crowds of tourists dragging suitcases around at all hours. Perfect if you’re trying to get work done or just want to decompress without feeling like you’re camping out in a hotel corridor. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies, but that’s kind of the point. DD Suites feels like they figured out what people actually need when they’re away from home for a while and then just… did that really well. If you’re looking for somewhere that functions like a proper temporary home rather than just a place to sleep, this is definitely worth considering.

  Great, clean space in a good location. I recommend! The metro stop is a 1-2 minute walk out of the front door. There is parking(albeit limited) at the front of the hotel.

  Excellent location- short walk to Mittersendling S-Bahn station and right next to Rewe supermarket
  Very spacious and clean apartment
  Good kitchen facilities and all appliances in good working order
  Clear house rules, invoice was ready in the apartment on check in, WiFi passcode was provided in the room. Clear instructions on picking up keycard were provided as we had a late check-in.
  
  What could be improved: Extra bed provided to us was not strong, the wooden slats on it kept falling off
  One of the balcony doors didn't close cleanly
  On one of the days in our stay, the back gate was not locked and anyone could enter the facility through it and by ascending fire exit staircase

  Location is very convenient, close to S-Bahn, 30 minutes to the center, not far from U-Bahn, near the zoo. Very clean new apartments, big room for family (3 persons), lots of dishes, glasses, cups, coffee machine.

  Modern, neat, well stocked in terms of the kitchen and clean. Although not centrally located, it is very easy and convenient to reach Munich central train station.
  
  What could be improved: Could have done with more towels. It would help if they came and changed the towels after a few days.

  Location is good, it’s not in city center but Metro is on a walking distance, grocery store is also in front of the property. Apartment is good.
  
  What could be improved: Liked everything but wish they could have provided basic things like salt, pepper.
