During the festival, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Theresienwiese, which is either the best thing ever or completely overwhelming depending on what you’re after. But here’s the thing nobody tells you – the apartment is positioned just right so you get the energy without the worst of the noise. Plus, when you need to escape the madness, you’ve got that garden refuge.

You’re walking distance from the Isar River (great for morning runs), and the Glockenbachviertel is right there with all its cafés and vintage shops. I kept finding myself on Reichenbachstraße grabbing coffee or wandering through the weekend markets. The U-Bahn connections are solid too – Fraunhoferstraße station is maybe three minutes away, so getting to Marienplatz or out to Schwabing is pretty effortless.

Storage space is actually decent, which sounds boring but matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The kitchen setup lets you do real cooking if you want – I picked up ingredients from the Viktualienmarkt and made dinner a few times instead of eating out constantly. There’s something satisfying about cooking with fresh German ingredients after spending the day exploring.

Check-in was smooth, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the shower pressure is solid.
