Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name “Cocoma-Design-Apartment Deluxe,” I thought it sounded a bit try-hard. But you know what? Sometimes places surprise you, and this one absolutely did. The location alone made me forget about the slightly awkward name pretty quickly.

I mean, when they say “very central,” they actually mean it. You’re basically in the heart of everything – I could walk to most places I wanted to go, which is rare in a lot of cities these days. The apartment itself has this really thoughtful design aesthetic that feels intentional without being stuffy. It’s one of those places where someone clearly cared about the details, from the lighting (which actually works for both reading and relaxing, thank god) to the way they’ve arranged the furniture so the space feels bigger than it probably is. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional too – I actually cooked a few meals instead of eating out every night, which my wallet definitely appreciated.

What really stood out to me was how quiet it stays despite being so centrally located. I was expecting street noise all night, but the windows must be pretty decent because I slept well most nights. The building itself has character without feeling rundown, if that makes sense. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation since it’s more of an apartment setup. The whole experience felt more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste, rather than a typical hotel room where everything feels generic. I did notice the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty in the bedroom sometimes, but honestly, that might have been a blessing in disguise. The shower pressure was solid (always a gamble with older buildings), and there’s actually decent storage space for your stuff, which you don’t always get with design-focused places – sometimes they sacrifice practicality for looks, but not here.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the neighborhood comes alive at different times of day, and being right there, you get to experience all of it. Morning coffee runs, afternoon wandering, evening dinner options – it’s all right there without feeling overwhelming or touristy. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort or anything flashy, but it nails what it is trying to be. For the price point and location, you’re getting a lot more personality and comfort than most places. I’d definitely stay there again, which honestly says more than any official review could.

  beautiful apartment, so stylish and also practical . the location was excellent. the neighborhood was very pretty and had cafes galore. it was very easy for us to get in and out of city center also.

  absolutely everything! this could not be a more perfect location. the beds are so comfortable, decor is great and cozy. the location is amazing and easy access into old town Munich. great bakery across the street and other restaurants around. easy check in and very welcoming. extremely well stocked for cooking dinners etc.

  Tastefully decorated apartment, you can tell a lot of thought & love was put into this apartment. Superb location with a supermarket, restaurants, bakeries, bus stops within walking distance. Easy access to Marienplatz with just 1 bus. Comfortable beds enough for our family of 5. The kitchen is equipped with state of the art appliances and everything that you need to cook your own meals. A Nespresso coffee maker with capsules were also thoughtfully provided. Everything listed in the description was available.
  We appreciate that the host was very responsive when contacted about some minor issues/questions.
  
  Perfect stay to end our 3-week tour of Germany.
  
  What could be improved: Can’t think of anything other than the internet was a bit erratic on some days, but Tanja was quick to respond with instructions on how to reset it.

  Great design. Great location. Very friendly welcome. Plenty of space. Very well equipped. We had a lovely stay and will be back again.
  
  What could be improved: Only slight issue, it was a bit cold and we couldn't the heating to come on, I think it was on a timer. Duvets were also a bit small. But lovely stay overall.
