Classik Hotel Martinshof, Messe München Overview
First Impressions
The Classik Hotel Martinshof, Messe München sits in the Trudering-Riem district, and honestly, it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way. This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not — instead, it nails the fundamentals so well that you’ll find yourself genuinely comfortable. The building has this understated charm that feels authentically German, and when you walk in, there’s an immediate sense that the staff actually cares about getting things right.
Perfect for Trade Fair Visitors
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re practically next door to the Messe Munich exhibition center, which means if you’re in town for a trade show or conference, your commute is basically nonexistent. But it’s not just about the convenience of proximity. The area feels residential and quiet, especially in the evenings when you want to decompress after a busy day. You’ll appreciate the parking facilities available on-site, which make arriving and departing hassle-free. Couples seem to really get this vibe — they consistently rate the location highly, and I can see why.
The Room Experience
The rooms here are what I’d call thoughtfully practical. They’re not trying to wow you with flashy design, but everything works exactly as it should. The beds are genuinely comfortable — I mean, after a long day walking around Munich or standing at trade fair booths, that matters more than fancy throw pillows. Each room feels clean and well-maintained, with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase properly. The bathrooms are modern enough without feeling sterile, and honestly, the water pressure is better than some places charging twice as much.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast buffet is where this place really shows its personality. It’s not some sad continental spread — they actually put effort into variety and quality. You’ll find proper German breads (which, let’s be honest, are hard to mess up when you’re in Germany), decent coffee, and enough options to fuel whatever your day holds. The dining area gets good natural light in the morning, and there’s something satisfying about starting your day without feeling rushed or crowded.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me most about this hotel is how it handles the basics with genuine care. The 8.1 rating isn’t flashy, but it reflects something more valuable — consistency and reliability. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you’re getting a place that understands what business travelers and couples actually need. The staff seems to know their guests’ rhythms, whether you’re heading out early for meetings or exploring Munich’s neighborhoods. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day properly, and don’t waste time worrying about whether things will work as promised. This hotel delivers on its promise of straightforward, dependable hospitality.

Breakfast was good. In a cozy 'old town' with a traditional church across the road. Take away the cars, and you'd think you had gone back a century.

The place was absolutely beautiful. Shower was pristine. It’s close to Riem station.
What could be improved: Only things to work on are: There was no bin liner so we felt bad putting rubbish in the bin. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work or at least we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. And the inside of the kettle hadn’t been cleaned in a while as there was a lot of build upVenelin from Bulgaria – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
Comfy, good location, silent neighbourhood. Good restaurant in the ground floor, professional staff- friendly and fast
What could be improved: Not a big fan of toilet glass doors – nothing else:)Saya from United Kingdom – 16 December 2024 (9/10)
It had a very warm, cozy atmosphere. The room was clean, and facilities were good too.
What could be improved: The location is quite far from the city center and is only served by a single subway line, which runs approximately every 20 minutes.
The hotel also seems to have very limited staff. For example, the entrance requires either a passcode or a key card, but no one was available to open the door until a kind guest helped us. Our room was on the second floor, yet no staff offered to assist with our luggage. Given that they were expecting guests, there should have at least been someone at the front desk to help with check-in and luggage.Martina from Italy – 2 December 2024 (8/10)
It's a very quiet area and the room was very comfortable and warm

Beautiful rooms, nice shower
What could be improved: To far from city centerSharon from United States – 9 October 2024 (9/10)
It was east to get into city center, close to the train station. Room was clean, had a window into a cute courtyard. Enjoyed the on-site hotel restaurant.
What could be improved: The roof pitch in one side of the room meant you couldn’t stand up on that side. Had to crawl into bed. Bathroom was updated but small, which is not unusual in Europe. Hotel restaurant was expensive, but the food was delicious.Sudarshan from United Arab Emirates – 2 October 2024 (9/10)
Offbeat, quiet, well located from amenities, lovely neighbourhood
What could be improved: No lifts in case of heavy baggagesIurii from Russia – 18 September 2024 (9/10)
Nice stylish hotel in a quiet green area of Munich, close to public transport stops. Self-checkin option works good.
