Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Citadines Arnulfpark Munich when I first walked up – it’s got that modern aparthotel look that can go either way. But honestly, this place surprised me in the best possible ways. The Arnulfpark area is having this renaissance moment right now, and you can feel it when you step outside. It’s not quite the tourist chaos of Marienplatz, but it’s definitely not sleepy either.
The thing about this hotel is that it actually gets the balance right between feeling like you have your own space and still getting proper service. I mean, the rooms are essentially small apartments – and I’m talking about actual kitchenettes where you can cook something beyond instant noodles, not those sad mini-fridges most places stick in the corner. The beds are solid (no weird dips or mystery stains), and the bathrooms have that satisfying European shower pressure that makes you wonder why American hotels can’t figure this out. What really caught me attention though was how quiet it stays at night, even with the trams running nearby. You’d think being this close to the main transport lines would mean constant noise, but the windows must be doing their job because I slept better than I do at home most nights.
Location-wise, you’re basically winning here without paying those insane city center prices. The Arnulfpark S-Bahn station is literally a few minutes’ walk – I timed it at about four minutes when I wasn’t dragging luggage behind me. From there, you can get to the Hauptbahnhof in maybe ten minutes, which means the rest of Munich opens up pretty easily. But honestly, the neighborhood itself has gotten really interesting lately. There’s this whole cluster of new restaurants and cafes that have popped up around the park (the actual Arnulfpark, which is perfect for morning runs if that’s your thing). I found this excellent Vietnamese place just down the street that locals clearly know about – always a good sign when you’re not surrounded by other tourists fumbling with translation apps. The staff at Citadines seem to genuinely know the area too, which is rarer than it should be. When I asked about grocery stores, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me toward the nearest chain – he actually told me about the weekend market that sets up a few blocks over. That 8.3 rating makes sense when you stay here; it’s not trying to be fancy in ways that don’t matter, but the stuff that actually affects your day-to-day comfort is handled really well.
To book hotel in Munich during the famous Oktoberfest season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts beer enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Fantastic location — five tram stops (maybe 10 minutes‘ ride) from the main train station, drops you off at the hotel door. Clean, quiet; bright rooms, great facilities; comfortable beds and great shower pressure. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The 24/7 coffee in the lobby, free for guests, was a surprisingly very well-appreciated treat! Will definitely be back!!

To be honest, that was one of the best stays I recently have. hotel staff was really nice and experiences, check in/out was a moment with no issues – everything was well prepared and I do not have to bother with filling too much additional papers.
Room – very nice, spacey, comfortable. Airco was working as expected, big and clean bathroom.
And the most comfortable bed I sleep last year I can say.
Also, location for me was great as I had just one step to the office.
Free coffee available
Great experience!
What could be improved: I really do not see any bad things here. Maybe the beer in the reception fridge could be colder (If I need to say something 🙂Tritan from Albania – 13 May 2025 (9/10)
The room was big enough and the beds very comfy. Also the ceilings very efficient to keep room very quite from traffic.
What could be improved: Non slippery sticker on shower a bit outdated and looked like not cleaned instead of a sticker layer.Aliaksei from Turkey – 8 May 2025 (8/10)
Clean, great location
What could be improved: It seems air conditioning not strong enough. It was warm week and sometimes when sun was in the room it was hot. Can be big problem in summer. It’s ok that cleaning is once per 3 days, but garbage collection for extra fee confusing. Expensive breakfasts.Enrico from Italy – 4 May 2025 (8/10)
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Munich. It offers excellent value for money, especially considering its central location. While it takes about 35 minutes to walk to the city center, there's a tram stop right outside the hotel. Trams run frequently and take you to the center in just 10–15 minutes, which makes getting around incredibly convenient.
The room was modern, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary comforts for a comfortable stay. The only downside was that daily cleaning is not included unless you stay for six nights or more. Otherwise, you have to pay an extra fee for daily housekeeping.
Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking to stay in a central part of Munich without breaking the bank.Carsten from South Africa – 28 April 2025 (9/10)
We had a fabulous time. Its location meant we were 50m away from the nearest tram station… giving us quick access to the city centre. The shower and rooms were spacious.
What could be improved: The hotel warned us at commencement of our stay, that it only cleans the rooms upon the end of ones visit.
We appreciate that it might be a way for management to try keep costs down, but having to bring used bathroom towels down for replacement to reception felt annoying and belittling. Similar when we ran out of toilet rolls and had to ask for more toilet paper from reception before going back up the lift with toilet rolls. Not exactly what would expect from an upmarket establishment.
Breakfast was abundant but unfortunately forgettable. Appreciate the hotel trying to cater for many customers but found the quality of the options available to be poor. The juices (either sparkling or still) tasted diluted and the settings on the dispenser made one receive very small volumes in already small glasses.Ruben from United Kingdom – 25 April 2025 (9/10)
The staff were super nice, facilities good and location great!
Hosam from Egypt – 24 April 2025 (9/10)
The location is very good just next to the tram station that takes you to the downtown.
What could be improved: There is no coffee machine in the room, but coffee was served for free in the restaurant.K from France – 23 April 2025 (9/10)
The room was excellent – large space, well equipped, all functioning perfectly, very close to the tram station (1 min – just in front of it). Since we stayed in 1 bedroom apartment, we had washing machine in the room which was excellent. Parking was easy and we could book it in advance. Everything was perfectly organized.

It’s located right in front of a tram spot. The rooms are comfortable and they serve really good hot chocolate and coffee round the clock. The fitness center is also great for a quick workout.
What could be improved: Nothing really
