Overview
You know what struck me first about the Campanile Muenchen Sendling? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s refreshing. This 3-star spot sits in Sendling, which I’ll admit isn’t the postcard-perfect center of Munich, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re in a proper neighborhood here, not some tourist bubble.
The thing about Sendling is that it feels real. You’ve got locals grabbing their morning coffee, actual grocery stores instead of souvenir shops, and the U-Bahn connection (Harras station is your friend) gets you to Marienplatz in about 15 minutes. I mean, you could walk it if you’re feeling ambitious – it’s maybe 3 kilometers through some interesting parts of the city. The hotel itself has that reliable Campanile vibe – clean, functional, with staff who actually seem to know the area. Check-in was smooth, and the rooms are what you’d expect: not fancy, but everything works. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms are recently updated. You’ll hear some street noise if you’re facing the main road, but nothing that decent earplugs can’t handle.
What really works here is the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually traveling. There’s parking – not a given in Munich, trust me – and the breakfast is solid without being spectacular. Think good German bread, decent coffee, and enough variety to fuel whatever you’re planning for the day. The 8 rating makes sense because it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. It’s not trying to be the Vier Jahreszeiten, but for the price point, you’re getting genuine value. If you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring the city anyway (and in Munich, why wouldn’t you be?), this place gives you a comfortable base without the premium you’d pay closer to the Altstadt. Plus, being in Sendling means you’re near some excellent local restaurants – there’s this little Bavarian place about two blocks away that serves schnitzel the size of dinner plates. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from staying where the locals actually live, you know?
Hotels near me in Munich offer convenient access to the old town, where guests can easily walk to Neues Rathaus, Viktualienmarkt, and traditional beer gardens.

Guest Reviews
- Twin beds that can actually separate. This isn't the norm in Europe so it was a deciding factor to book this hotel for us.
- Next door to a supermarket
- Within 10 mins walk from a small train station
- Reasonably large room; comfortable hosting two people
- Rain shower
What could be improved: - Don't like the pillows
- Wish there was some more facilities in the room like a mini-fridge, water kettle, or a microwave
We needed bathrobes and room slippers, also toothbrushes and paste. They didn’t have and this was uncomfortable.
There's a supermarket on the ground floor which is super convenient. The parking is also accessible with elevator.
Bathroom is awesome, breakfast is really nice.
What could be improved: Room felt a bit too small.
Good value for money. Supermarket in same building which was very convenient.
What could be improved: For away from everything …
Quite a spacious room and toilet. About 10 minutes walk to the S-bahn station which connects to the main station and city centre. Supermarket at the ground floor was very convenient and the lobby also allowed us to store luggage after check-out.
What could be improved: The water in the toilet did not drain well which cause the floor to be wet after showering.
Nice room and bathroom. Shower was amazing. Everything was clean. Bed was really comfortable. Staff was super nice and polite. The neighborhood was really quiet and safe - we got there in the evening and the streets were nearly empty. Conviniently, there is a market right beside the hotel entrance. Other options of restaurants and cafes nearby as well.
What could be improved: Not so much a negative point about the hotel itself, but the location is a bit far away from the city center and main tourist attractions. We had to get a regional train (about 10-12min ride) that passed near the hotel to get downtown and then back. Walking is +1h. Something to be aware of if you are tight on time and on a budget.
The location was five minutes by walk to S bahn (train). Free parking areas around the alley. Employees were so polite. A rewrite market was under of the hotel. I hope I can host in here again. Recommend hotel 👌🏼
What could be improved: Just wished a mini bar could be in the room.
Every thing was great
There is no facilities in the room to make a hot drink. The room was nice and functional. The location is good. Staff were nice and friendly.
What could be improved: The room felt sterile and lacked facilities.
Stayed for one night. The rooms were very clean and cozy. Hotel is located in a calm and beautiful neighborhood. Close to a S-Bahn station.
