Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Brera Serviced Apartments Munich West, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical hotel setup. The building sits on Westendstrasse in the Laim district, and honestly, it feels more like stepping into a well-designed residential complex than a traditional three-star property. There’s something refreshingly understated about the whole approach — no flashy lobby or marble floors, just clean lines and that distinctly German attention to practical detail that actually works.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is the apartment-style accommodation, which I mean, makes perfect sense for longer stays or when you want more space than a standard hotel room. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette, separate living area, and enough room to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. The furnishings lean modern without being cold — think Scandinavian-influenced design with warm wood accents. You know what really impressed me? The attention to small details like proper lighting for reading and enough electrical outlets where you actually need them.
Location & Getting Around
Laim might not be the first district tourists think of, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re positioned perfectly for accessing Munich’s western areas without the tourist crowds, and couples seem to particularly appreciate this — the feedback consistently rates the location highly for romantic getaways. The S-Bahn connections are solid, getting you to the city center in about 15 minutes, while the neighborhood itself has that authentic Munich residential feel with local bakeries and cafes nearby. Plus, having private parking on-site is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — anyone who’s tried to park in central Munich will appreciate this upscale.
Practical Comforts
The apartment setup means you can actually live a bit like a local during your stay. I found myself picking up fresh bread from the nearby bakery and making proper coffee in the morning rather than rushing to find breakfast somewhere. The kitchenette isn’t just for show — it’s properly equipped with everything you need for simple meal preparation. The Wi-Fi is reliable (crucial for business travelers), and the overall maintenance standards are what you’d expect from a well-run German property. Nothing flashy, but everything works exactly as it should.
Why Guests Love It
This place really shines for travelers who want more independence and space without sacrificing quality or location. The combination of apartment-style living with hotel-level service creates this sweet spot that’s particularly appealing for extended stays, couples seeking a romantic base, or business travelers who prefer a more residential feel. Recent guests consistently praise the location quality, and you can see why — you get authentic Munich neighborhood life with easy access to everything the city offers. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which in a city full of grand hotels and tourist traps, feels refreshingly honest.
Hotels in Munich offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Alpine metropolis, with easy access to castles, museums, and traditional German experiences.

Guest Reviews
Good location close to metro station, equiped with kitchen. Loundry room in the basement was really convenient
What could be improved: AC was not working
The hotel room is just a few stops away from the city center and offers self check-in. Inside, everything was well organized and clean. The kitchen was functional, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quite spacious for this type of accommodation.
What could be improved: There were no instructions on how to check-out, which was confusing. We didn’t know where to leave the key cards or how to confirm our departure, and we met other guests with the same issue.
Cozy apartments near the metro station. Clean, neat, large comfortable bed, warm soft blankets, the kitchen has all the necessary utensils for cooking and serving food. There is a capsule coffee maker, you can bring your own capsules and enjoy delicious coffee. There was delicious tea in the cabinets.
Clean bathroom, there is a hairdryer. Warm in autumn and winter, easy check-in.
Clean and tidy with all required equipment
What could be improved: There was no shampoo and soap in the toilet
The apartments are a little out of town if you are visiting to sightsee, but there is a metro stop a two-minute walk away which will easily bring you into the old town. It was easy to get into, I was able to collect the keys myself from the device and had no trouble(which is nice if you don't want to deal with people). The facilities are quite basic but not much more was needed for my stay which was only for one night.
What could be improved: I might have liked more pillows but that's a pretty minor issue
Very clean and nice place
What could be improved: The time of check in (too late) and check out (too early)
Location, size, well kitted out and clean. Also support was very quick to respond to queries.
What could be improved: Little dated
It's a big room.
Very cool self-service check-in process, speedy, discrete.
Location and cleanliness
What could be improved: Pillows were horrible
