You know what surprised me about Brera Serviced Apartments Munich West? It’s actually got this understated charm that grows on you – nothing flashy, but honestly that’s kind of refreshing in a city where every hotel seems to be trying too hard. When I first walked into the lobby, I thought “okay, this is solid” rather than “wow,” but by the end of my stay I was already planning to book it again.

The apartments themselves are where this place really shines. I mean, having a proper kitchen when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights is a game-changer, especially in Munich where eating out every meal can drain your wallet fast. The setup feels like someone’s well-organized flat rather than a sterile hotel room – there’s actual counter space for spreading out your groceries from the local markets, and the coffee machine is decent enough that you’re not desperately hunting for the nearest café first thing in the morning. The furniture has that IKEA-meets-boutique-hotel vibe that somehow works, and honestly, the beds are more comfortable than they have any right to be for a 3-star place. Storage space is generous too, which you don’t always get with serviced apartments.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits in the city. Munich West isn’t the postcard-perfect old town area, but that’s actually why I liked it – you get a feel for how locals actually live, and the U-Bahn connections are solid so you’re never more than 20 minutes from wherever you want to be. There’s this great bakery about two blocks away where the woman behind the counter started recognizing me by day three (always a good sign), and the neighborhood has that lived-in feeling where people are walking their dogs and heading to work rather than just taking selfies. The staff here seems to get that – they’re helpful without being hovering, and they actually know the area well enough to point you toward the good stuff nearby. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no unnecessary upselling or lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use. Would I call it luxurious? Not really. But sometimes what you want is a place that just works well, feels comfortable, and doesn’t cost a fortune – and this nails all three of those things.

  The hotel room is just a few stops away from the city center and offers self check-in. Inside, everything was well organized and clean. The kitchen was functional, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quite spacious for this type of accommodation.
  
  What could be improved: There were no instructions on how to check-out, which was confusing. We didn’t know where to leave the key cards or how to confirm our departure, and we met other guests with the same issue.

  Cozy apartments near the metro station. Clean, neat, large comfortable bed, warm soft blankets, the kitchen has all the necessary utensils for cooking and serving food. There is a capsule coffee maker, you can bring your own capsules and enjoy delicious coffee. There was delicious tea in the cabinets.
  Clean bathroom, there is a hairdryer. Warm in autumn and winter, easy check-in.

  The apartments are a little out of town if you are visiting to sightsee, but there is a metro stop a two-minute walk away which will easily bring you into the old town. It was easy to get into, I was able to collect the keys myself from the device and had no trouble(which is nice if you don't want to deal with people). The facilities are quite basic but not much more was needed for my stay which was only for one night.
