Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked into Boutique Hotel Krone München, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but you know what? Sometimes the stars don’t tell the whole story. This little gem actually surprised me in all the right ways, and that 8.6 rating suddenly made perfect sense after spending a few nights there.
The thing about the Krone is that it gets the fundamentals right without trying to be something it’s not. I mean, you’re not going to find a rooftop infinity pool or some elaborate spa setup, but what you will find is a place that clearly knows its Munich guests. The rooms have this understated elegance – sort of modern Alpine meets urban chic, if that makes sense. Clean lines, quality linens that actually feel good against your skin, and these surprisingly comfortable beds that I honestly didn’t want to leave in the mornings. The bathrooms are compact but smartly designed (typical European efficiency), and the water pressure is solid – which, let’s be real, can make or break a hotel stay.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about the local experience. The front desk folks don’t just hand you a generic city map; they’ll actually tell you which U-Bahn line to take to avoid the tourist crowds at Marienplatz, or where to grab a proper schnitzel that won’t cost you a small fortune. I picked up more insider tips during my three-day stay than I did from hours of online research. The breakfast spread is nothing fancy – fresh bread, decent coffee, local cheeses – but it’s exactly what you want before heading out to explore the city. There’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t oversell itself with elaborate descriptions but just delivers consistently good experiences. The neighborhood itself has that authentic Munich feel – you’ll hear church bells in the morning, catch the aroma of fresh pretzels from the bakery down the street, and there’s this perfect mix of locals and travelers that tells you you’ve found a real spot, not just another tourist trap. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but sometimes what you really need is a comfortable base that feels more like staying with knowledgeable friends than checking into a corporate hotel.
The luxury concierge service in Munich offers personalized access to private brewery tours, Michelin-starred dining, and VIP cultural experiences in this Bavarian capital.

Quaint hotel in an easy location to find! Lots of cafés and beer gardens a walk away. Super close to the Bavarian statue and subway station. Amazing breakfast-well worth it!!!
What could be improved: The street is rather noisy with traffic and people congregate to smoke outside-their voices and smoke can waft up through the windows..but this didn’t stop us having a decent sleep!Jenia from United States – 17 May 2025 (9/10)
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived, making us feel right at home. Our room was spotless with a freshly remodeled bathroom that felt modern and luxurious. The bedding was crisp and clean, ensuring a perfect night’s sleep, and the atmosphere was quiet and restful – exactly what we needed.
What could be improved: The only minor suggestion would be to refresh the towels,as some were a bit worn. But overall, this was a fantastic stay, thanks to the great amenities and exceptionally friendly service.Joel from Canada – 15 May 2025 (9/10)
Great spot for a great price. Amazing shower and amenities in bathroom. Fun themed rooms!

Great place with a funk vibe. The staff were so nice and accomodating. Having spent over a month travelling around Europe we found Krone Munchen the nicest hotel we stayed at.
We will definitely be coming back here. Loved everything about it.Claudio from United States – 26 April 2025 (9/10)

The room interiors, celing heights and the bathroom design.
What could be improved: Our towels were not renewed even after we left them on the floor of the bathroom.Mariusz from Poland – 4 February 2025 (8/10)
It's a very convenient location – nice walk to the old town, surrounded by very nice – not crowded coffee places and restaurants, with friendly staff welcoming us and good facilities.
What could be improved: The breakfast was good, however I was hoping to have it a bit longer available during the weekend. We've came down shortly after 10 a.m., and it was only coffee machine and water which was still available – there was no longer any food there.Grant from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (9/10)
We initially had difficulty getting to the hotel due to travel and baggage delays which meant we would get to the hotel after hours, but the staff called to check on us and then made it extremely easy to access the hotel and our room over the phone
All the staff are friendly, welcoming and genuine. Honourable mention to Max, he was a big help and an all round top guy
The hotel is lovely, very different to most in the area, and for our trip it was great value for money. I'd highly recommend it 👍🏼
What could be improved: Nothing of the hotels fault. But I'd recommend using the S Bahn for getting into the old town etc, as the walk gets a bit tedious after a few daysHellen from United States – 24 January 2025 (9/10)
Great location, clean and comfortable room. Staff was friendly! it's about 12 min walk to the metro and 20 – 25 mins walk to Marienplatz. We enjoyed our stay!
