The suite itself is… well, it’s sort of hard to describe without sounding like I’m gushing, but whoever designed this place really gets it. The “bohemian chic” thing isn’t just thrown-together vintage furniture like you see everywhere now. There’s actual thought here – rich jewel tones, this amazing moroccan-style rug that somehow works with modern fixtures, and honestly the lighting is phenomenal (hence the selfie part of the name, I guess). The bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that actually has decent pressure, which – if you’ve stayed in European hotels, you know that’s not always a given. What really got me though was the little reading nook by the window. You can sit there in the morning with coffee and watch the city wake up, and there’s something really peaceful about it even though you’re in the heart of everything.

Here’s what I mean about the location being special – you’ve got Theresienstraße right there with actual neighborhood spots, not just tourist traps. There’s this little bakery called Rischart about three blocks over that locals line up at (get the pretzel croissants, trust me). The Pinakothek museums are maybe a fifteen-minute walk if you’re into that scene, and you can easily hop on the U-Bahn or S-Bahn without dealing with the chaos right at the station. Parking is… well, it’s Munich, so park at the hotel if you can swing it. The staff actually knows the area too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They pointed me toward this tiny wine bar on Augustenstraße that I never would’ve found otherwise. The only minor thing is that weekend nights can get a bit lively since you’re close to the action, but honestly it’s more energetic than annoying – and by 2 AM things quiet down. I mean, if you want dead silence, maybe look elsewhere, but if you want to feel connected to the city without staying in some soulless chain hotel, this place nails it.
