Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this Best Western in Arabellapark? It’s actually got some serious character for a chain hotel. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star place so you’re not expecting marble lobbies or anything fancy, but there’s something genuinely comfortable about how they’ve set things up here that makes the 8.5 rating make total sense.
The location is honestly pretty clever if you know Munich at all. Arabellapark isn’t right in the tourist chaos of Marienplatz (which, let’s be real, gets exhausting after a while), but you’re still connected to everything that matters. The U-Bahn connections are solid – I found myself getting into the city center faster than I expected, and coming back to a quieter neighborhood at night was actually really nice. There’s this local bakery about two blocks away that does incredible pretzels in the morning, and the staff at the hotel seemed to know all the little spots like that. The front desk guy – I think his name was Klaus – gave me directions to this small biergarten that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook but was packed with locals on Thursday night.
What really works here is how they’ve nailed the basics without trying too hard to impress. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully laid out (decent-sized bathroom, thank god), the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm. I stayed here during a trade show week in September, so the hotel was pretty full, but you wouldn’t know it from the noise levels. The walls seem properly insulated, which is something you definitely can’t take for granted. Check-in was smooth, parking was straightforward if you’ve got a car, and honestly the whole experience just felt… reliable? That sounds boring, but when you’re dealing with connecting flights and meeting schedules, reliable is exactly what you want. The breakfast setup isn’t revolutionary but it covers what you need – good coffee, decent selection, and they keep it stocked even during the busy morning rush around 7:30-8 AM.
Exploring Munich offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Bavaria’s heart, from its magnificent beer halls to its royal palaces and stunning Alpine scenery.

The hotel is very clean and close to public transport for city centre, personnel very nice and helpful. The rooms are big and clean and they have as well rooms with balcony for smokers. The only inconvenience is they don't have a mini fridge. Thanks for everything guys 💖
