B&B Hotel München-Moosach Overview

First Impressions

Walking into B&B Hotel München-Moosach, you immediately get that “this works” feeling — you know what I mean? It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but honestly does everything right. The lobby is clean and modern without being sterile, and the staff actually seems happy to see you. I’ve stayed here twice now, and apparently I’m not alone — they told me they have way more repeat guests than most hotels in this category.

The Moosach Advantage

Here’s the thing about staying in Munich‘s Moosach district — most tourists overlook it completely, which is exactly why it works so well. You’re about 15 minutes from the city center by U-Bahn (the Moosach station is literally a five-minute walk), but you’re paying way less than you would for a hotel in Marienplatz. The neighborhood has this authentic residential vibe with local bakeries and cafes that tourists never find. Plus, couples seem to really love this area — I overheard the front desk mentioning they consistently rate the location super high.

Smart Room Design

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully laid out — everything you need and nothing you don’t. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually work. What I really appreciated was the desk setup if you need to get some work done, and the bathroom, while small, had excellent water pressure. The whole space feels fresh and well-maintained, which isn’t always a given at this price point.

Practical Perks

Breakfast here is continental style, nothing fancy, but they’ve got this “breakfast to go” option that’s perfect if you’re catching an early train or want to eat in a nearby park. The private parking is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — finding parking in Munich can be a nightmare, and having a guaranteed spot takes so much stress off your trip. I mean, it’s not free, but it’s reasonable and you don’t have to circle blocks looking for a space.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps bringing people back (myself included) is that this place just gets the basics right without any pretense. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby chandelier or a rooftop bar — you’re getting a clean, comfortable base for exploring Munich at a price that won’t wreck your travel budget. The location really is the secret weapon here — close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually relax. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something smart rather than just booked something convenient. The staff goes out of their way to help guests feel welcome and comfortable during their stay.

To book hotel in Munich during the famous Oktoberfest season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts beer enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

  • Mariusz from Poland – 1 March 2025 (8/10)

Very convenient location. Clean and modern apartment. Surprisingly very quiet considering the fact windows are overlooking rail track. Very convenient if traveling by train. Traveling by car a bit challenging due to limited parking. Overall very positive. Good value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful.

What could be improved: No parking available.

  • Neil from Guernsey – 27 January 2025 (9/10)

Have stayed here maybe half a dozen times, for good reasons:
Value for money. Location – outside of the city centre, but with multiple transport options literally outside (tram, bus, u-bahn, s-bahn), getting to the centre is very, very easy. Safe area. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent secure underground car parking. Easy and quick access from the 99 autobahn.

What could be improved: All was good.

  • Haghdoost from Italy – 25 December 2024 (8/10)

    Easily reached by public transportation

What could be improved: Hair drier was broken

  • Richard from United Kingdom – 10 December 2024 (9/10)

Good transport links into Munich centre and airport.
No B&B, but a nice bakery next door.
I would certainly use it again.
    Very friendly and helpful staff.

What could be improved: No B&B

  • Caitlin from Australia – 16 November 2024 (9/10)

Perfect location/price for Oktoberfest. Room was clean and comfortable. Accomodation is just 15 mins away from the centre and 25 mins from Oktoberfest grounds by public transport. S-bahn, tram and underground stations right outside the hotel.

  • Rebecca from Australia – 1 October 2024 (9/10)

Big clean room, really comfortable beds. Plenty of power points and a good hair-dryer

What could be improved: No issues

  • Melissa from United States – 27 September 2024 (9/10)

Excellent location to S1 line for ease of going in/out of Munich city center for Oktoberfest and for access to airport. Safe neighborhood. A lot of options available for food around hotel. Quiet. Shampoo provided. Cafe located next door. There was some construction but didn’t notice it too much. Excellent value for the time I was there during the festival with still convenient access to the fairgrounds.

What could be improved: After 11 there is no one at the desk and came down to get some water from vending machine and the vending machine card function isn’t working and i didn’t have enough coins only bills.
