Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to B&B Hotel München-Hbf on Landwehrstraße, you immediately get that “this makes sense” feeling. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — just solid, clean, and honestly pretty smart about what travelers actually need. The building fits right into the neighborhood without any fuss, and you can already hear the gentle hum of the city around you. The exterior design reflects modern European hospitality standards while maintaining the authentic character that makes Munich so appealing to international visitors.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about staying near Munich‘s Hauptbahnhof — people worry it’ll be sketchy or too noisy, but this spot on Landwehrstraße is actually in a sweet spot. You’re close enough to walk to the train station in maybe five minutes, perfect for those early morning departures, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the chaos. Couples consistently rate this location 8.5 out of 10, and honestly, the accessibility is remarkable. You can walk to Marienplatz, hit the beer gardens, or catch a train to Neuschwanstein Castle — it’s all within easy reach from here. The surrounding area offers authentic Bavarian culture alongside modern conveniences, creating an ideal base for both business travelers and tourists exploring the region.
The Room Experience
The room setup is what I’d call “efficiently comfortable” — everything you need without the extras you’ll never use. The beds are actually good, not just hotel-acceptable, and there’s enough space to spread out your belongings without feeling cramped. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re in the heart of the city. The windows do their job, and the air conditioning works properly, which isn’t always a given in European hotels. Each accommodation features modern amenities designed for comfort, including reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, adequate storage solutions, and well-designed bathrooms that maximize functionality within the available space.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast situation here is better than you’d expect from a three-star place. They offer both continental and buffet options, and while it’s not going to blow your mind, it’s substantial enough to fuel a day of sightseeing. The coffee is decent, which matters, and there’s usually a good mix of German staples and international choices. They keep the spread stocked properly throughout the morning hours, so even if you’re not an early riser, you won’t be stuck with picked-over leftovers. The dining area provides a comfortable atmosphere where guests can plan their daily adventures while enjoying freshly prepared items that cater to various dietary preferences and cultural tastes.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel earns an overall rating of 7.8, and that feels about right — it’s solidly above average without any major surprises. The private parking is genuinely useful if you’re driving, as it’s not always easy to find in Munich. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations. It’s the kind of place where everything just works smoothly, which might be the best compliment you can give a hotel. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you’re getting a reliable base for exploring Munich without any headaches. The combination of practical amenities, strategic location, and consistent service quality creates an experience that exceeds expectations for travelers seeking value and convenience in Bavaria’s capital city.

Guest Reviews
For the price this is a great stay. Very basic rooms but clean and comfortable, and a modern and functional bathroom.
There is no kettle or mini fridge in the room but that is ok because it is a cheaper hotel and you pay accordingly. We were very comfortable here for a few days. Staff were very nice and helpful.
What could be improved: The breakfast could be improved. Even the fruits being put out were old (eg over-brown bananas) and maybe selection could be improved slightly. We showed up just after 9 and there was not much left and they weren’t replenishing it. It is very cheap but if you like a more complete breakfast I would suggest going elsewhere.
Nice modern room but no frills. Woken early by cleaning staff. Lots of early morning bells from adjacent church.
Room was clean and comfortable but lights need to be improved especially in bathroom
What could be improved: No elevator, they were renovate it during my stay but booking did not tell about that .
The location is only 20 minutes on foot from central railway station in an area with many Asian shops and businesses.
What could be improved: The bathroom was a bit smelly coming from the waste pipes.
Just stayed for a night before my return flight. Found this place to be comfortable and peaceful
Great location walking distance to train station and most of the old town.
Bonus was being just near Xmas markets at Theresienwiese which is also where Oktoberfest is held.
Lovely staff and large clean room
What could be improved: Would have liked to have tea/coffee facilities in room
Very clean and tidy. Extremely helpful staff.
What could be improved: Limited parking
location value for money
What could be improved: Bathroom/ shower a little tired grouting needs fixed shower door needs deep clean
Close to bus and train station.Clean and modern bathroom.
What could be improved: Brekkie for Euro 12.90 was not worth it. It was in a small room.
Far away from the main areas of Munchen.
I would not recommend it for a single person to walk around the area after dusk.
You could hear the church bells hourly. Lot of construction going on around the area.
Advertise you can purchase wine at reception, but it's hot, and there is no fridge or kettle in your room.
Handy to the Hauptbahnhof. Clean, quiet and comfy. Noon checkout is excellent! Great WiFi.
What could be improved: Surprised by no fridge in the room.
