Overview
First Impressions
Walking into B&B Hotel München City-Ost, you immediately get that “this works” feeling — you know what I mean? It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but actually delivers on what matters most. The lobby is clean and modern without being sterile, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions. I mean, for a budget-friendly option in Munich, my expectations were pretty modest, but this place surprised me right from check-in.
Smart Location Choice
Here’s the thing about staying in Trudering-Riem — it’s not the tourist center, but that’s actually brilliant. You’re close enough to reach the city center easily (the S-Bahn connections are solid), but you’re not paying those crazy downtown prices or dealing with crowds of tourists stumbling around at midnight. The area feels authentically Munich, if that makes sense — more residential, with actual locals going about their daily lives. Plus, there’s parking right at the hotel, which anyone who’s tried to park in central Munich will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run B&B chain — compact but thoughtfully designed, with everything you actually need and nothing you don’t. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom, while small, had good water pressure and stayed warm. What I appreciated most was how quiet it was — the windows actually block out street noise, which isn’t always a given. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay, and there were enough outlets near the bed for all my devices.
Breakfast Worth Getting Up For
I’ll be honest — hotel breakfasts can be pretty hit or miss, especially at this price point. But the continental buffet here actually impressed me. Fresh bread, decent coffee (not amazing, but definitely drinkable), and a good selection of cold cuts and cheeses that felt authentically German. They had both sweet and savory options, and everything looked fresh rather than like it had been sitting out since yesterday. The breakfast restaurant area gets good natural light, which somehow makes the whole morning feel more pleasant.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it handles the basics so well — couples especially seem to appreciate the combination of value, location, and reliability. You’re getting a solid, comfortable stay without any unpleasant surprises. The Trudering-Riem location means you can experience Munich like a local while still having easy access to all the tourist spots. For the price point, it’s honestly hard to find fault with the place. It’s the kind of hotel where you sleep well, start your day properly fed, and head out to explore the city feeling like you made a smart choice.
To book hotel in Munich during the famous Oktoberfest season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts beer enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Guest Reviews
Room Facilities and Car Parking on the premises
What could be improved: Everything was fine
Like locations and breakfast..
What could be improved: B3dding
Location was really good, small walk to the closest train station to reach the city centre quickly. There were shops around to get food and drink easily.
What could be improved: There were no tea / coffee amenities in the room but a vending machine in the lobby if you wanted on.
It was okay it was clean
What could be improved: Location - far from the City center. It was accessible to busses etc so should not be a problem for some
The rooms we had were nice and clean, good locarion, accessible public transportation
What could be improved: One of the rooms had very low waterflow at the faucet and shower (361)
I love the place is nice
What could be improved: Nothing
I was on my way from Essen to Dachau, there was rain, storms, crashes on the highway. I had a reservation in Dachau from Saturday and there was no room in that hotel, so I stayed in a B&B that I found through Booking.com. I spent the night, drank coffee and continued on. In the dining room, I saw that the breakfast is take-your-own type. And it makes me OK. The light bulb on my car burned out and I was changing it in the garage, the receptionist asked me if I needed help. Very nice.
And very importantly, there is an underground garage.
What could be improved: There is none.
The property is well accessible by public transport. The hotel was clean with timely maintenance
What could be improved: A kettle in the room would have been better considering the cold weather
Convenience of the location of the hotel near public transport is good. Penny store downstairs is also useful.
What could be improved: Nothing in particular.
10-minute walk from the metro station, late check-in went smoothly.
What could be improved: The breakfast could have more options.
