But here’s the thing: this place gets the balance exactly right between that old-world European boarding house charm and actually having your modern creature comforts sorted out.

The moment you step inside, you’ll notice how they’ve kept all the character intact – I’m talking about those thick wooden beams and the kind of solid construction that makes you realize how flimsy most hotel walls are these days. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, and not in that forced corporate way, but like they genuinely want to make sure you’re settled in properly. The Wi-Fi works everywhere, which honestly surprised me given how solid the building is – someone clearly thought that through during the renovation.

What really sets this place apart is how it feels more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a standard hotel chain. Breakfast isn’t some sad continental spread – they’ve got proper local breads, really good coffee, and the kind of setup where you can actually have a decent meal to start your day. The common areas have that lived-in feeling where you might actually want to sit and read for a bit, not just rush through to get to your room. And here’s a practical detail that matters: they’ve got proper parking worked out, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate a European city center with a rental car, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold.

I’d put this solidly in that sweet spot of places that deliver more than you expect without trying too hard to impress you. It’s got the four-star amenities where they count – comfortable beds, good bathrooms, reliable service – but wrapped up in a package that feels authentic rather than corporate. The kind of place where you’d be happy to stay for a few days without feeling like you’re just passing through, if that makes sense.

  The room was big, with kitchen, big toilet. Everything in perfect condition and clean . It is located in a busy street but we didn’t feel it was noisy. It was very quiet
