Hotel Description
So I’ve walked past this place probably a hundred times on Bergsonstrasse – it used to be Hotel Neuner, but now it’s ARRIVEL Hotel am Bergson, and honestly? The rebrand feels fresh. You know what strikes me first about this spot? It’s tucked away in Pasing-Obermenzing, which most tourists completely overlook, but that’s actually the beauty of it. You’re in this quiet residential neighborhood where locals grab their morning coffee and walk their dogs, yet you can hop on the S-Bahn at Pasing station – literally a five-minute walk – and be in Marienplatz in fifteen minutes.
The hotel itself has that unpretentious German efficiency thing going on. Three stars, sure, but they know what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth (I arrived around 2 PM on a Tuesday, no crowds), and the staff actually remembered my name the next morning, which… well, you don’t get that at the big chains. The rooms are what you’d expect – clean, functional, decent-sized for Munich standards. I mean, let’s be real, hotel rooms in this city can feel like closets, so having space to actually open your suitcase is a win. The beds are firm in that European way, and honestly, I slept better than I expected. Street noise? Practically nonexistent once you close the windows, which is rare for Munich.
What I really appreciate is how this place fits into the neighborhood. There’s a proper bakery two blocks down on Planegger Strasse where locals line up for pretzels at 7 AM – that’s your breakfast sorted if you want to skip the hotel spread. The area gets quiet after 9 PM, which sounds boring but is actually perfect when you’ve spent the day battling tourist crowds in the Altstadt. Parking here is… well, it’s Munich, so it’s a pain, but at least you’re not circling the Maxvorstadt for an hour looking for a spot. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Vier Jahreszeiten, but it does what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Munich more like someone who actually lives here rather than just ticking off the obvious sights.

Wonderful – Józsa from Hungary – July 25, 2025 (9/10)
Got room with huge balcony.
What could be improved: No one available at the phone, but could manage everything!Very Good – Rabia from Pakistan – April 22, 2025 (8/10)
I spent four nights with my husband during Holy Week. The room was tidy and clean, exactly as shown in the photos. Overall, I found the place to be very clean. We traveled by car, so we didn't use public transportation, but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which I find very convenient. The area was also nice and quiet. Parking was free, although space was very limited. Due to the rush, we couldn't find a parking spot in front of the hotel and had to leave our car two blocks away, which I didn't like. Overall, I would recommend staying there, even for a longer stay.
What could be improved: Parking was quite limited and was assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If it's full, you'll have to find a spot for your car on your own, which was troublesome.Very Good – Mägi from Estonia – April 9, 2025 (8/10)
All worked well
Very Good – Tronghung from Vietnam – July 20, 2024 (8/10)
architectural decoration of the house, classic style room, clean but the toilet area is a bit small
Good hotel in Obermenzing – Blanka from Hungary – August 21, 2023 (9/10)
Quiet, family run hotel in the green area of Obermenzing. A bus (56) stops directly in front of the hotel, highway exit is also very close. Convenient location, relaxed nights, no noise. Real suburbian environment.
Breakfast is average, it is okay. Do not expect that wide selection of the big hotel chains.
Parking is free and convenient, no tight spaces.
The owners are kind, flexible and helpful. If you are looking for a relaxed, green place far from the frenzy downtown go for this one! We all like this hotel very much.
What could be improved: Check-in is possible only until 20.30 which comes with the family run business.Great stay – Mohamed from Egypt – July 10, 2023 (9/10)
What could be improved: 2nd floor has no elevator
Excellent choice for Munich – Marcelino from Netherlands – August 24, 2022 (9/10)
Nice property in a good location.
Bus stops literally in front of hotel.
10 minutes from station Pasing.
Good breakfast and overall service.
Many nice spots nearby.Older but good hotel outside of München. Easy to use public transport. – Olivier from Belgium – July 23, 2025 (7/10)
Good hotel to stay outside of the center of München. Convenient bus stop at the hotel, easy to use public transport. The hotel is older, but was clean. Breakfast available at extra cost, good choice to have an easy start of the day.
A simple, budget-friendly stay with a great location but limited parking. – Nouri from Netherlands – July 23, 2025 (7/10)
The hotel’s location is a major advantage, especially for those not traveling by car — the bus station is conveniently situated right next to the property. As for the interior, everything was adequate but fairly standard. Nothing particularly stood out, but for the small price, it offers solid value for a short stay.
What could be improved: There wasn’t anything I strongly disliked, but parking could be an issue. The hotel offers very limited spaces out front, so unless you’re lucky enough to find one available, securing a spot nearby can be quite difficult.Nice place – Lidong from United States – July 3, 2025 (9/10)
The location is nice, quiet enough in a residential area but close enough to bus stops and the youth library. Many breakfast options and the staffs are friendly.
What could be improved: No fans or AC in the room. But the owner bought some moveable fans for guests (at the last night of my stay).
