Hotel Description
So I stumbled across this apartment rental in München while hunting for something that wouldn’t completely destroy my budget, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you don’t see coming. The place sits right in the heart of Munich – and I mean actually in the city, not some suburb where you need three U-Bahn connections just to grab a pretzel.
What really struck me first was how the apartment manages to feel genuinely local rather than touristy. You know that sterile feeling you get in a lot of vacation rentals? This doesn’t have that at all. The building itself has that solid Bavarian character – thick walls that actually keep the street noise down (which, trust me, matters when you’re near Marienplatz on a Saturday night). The apartment is honestly pretty well-equipped for a 3-star setup. I mean, you’re not getting marble countertops or anything fancy, but the kitchen actually works if you want to cook, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the whole time. The 7.6 rating makes sense – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what it promises without any major letdowns.
Location-wise, this is where it really shines. You can walk to most of the stuff you actually want to see, and more importantly, you’re close enough to the real Munich that locals frequent. There’s this great bakery just around the corner that does incredible leberkäse in the mornings, and you’ll find yourself grabbing coffee there instead of hunting down some overpriced tourist café. The public transport connections are solid too – you can hop on the S-Bahn or U-Bahn without much hassle, which becomes crucial if you want to day-trip out to Neuschwanstein or hit up the beer gardens in the English Garden. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you’re driving (welcome to Munich), but honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway. The whole experience feels refreshingly authentic – like you’re actually staying in Munich rather than just visiting it. For the price point, especially considering how expensive this city can get, it’s a pretty smart choice if you want to experience the city without spending your entire vacation budget on accommodation.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Munich through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s rich Bavarian heritage.

The place is very clean and comfy, the balcony has a nice view. And it's in proximity to very good restaurants and transportation.

The property is in a very quiet, residential area. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen facilities ok, and the apartment was very clean.
What could be improved: It was quite a long way to find a shop or somewhere to eat. There was no information at the property about the locality. Picking up the keys, which were buried in the garden, was unusual to say the least!Gunjan from India – 23 September 2024 (8/10)

It was a very relaxed environment, with friendly neighbours/residents in the building. The apartment overall is great, spacious, nice balcony and there was an electric fan which was great on the very sunny days. It had what I needed. Decent bedding, and a kitchen that did the trick.
What could be improved: The internet was sadly very slow (<1mbps), the towels and bedding had a feint smell of cigarette smoke. It was unclear what to do on arrival/departure for the building itself as it is communal access (no need to lock the entrance door from the inside, or so a resident told me!) But overall it is great value for money.
The furniture doesn't really make best use of the space. There are 3 chairs that don't really fit anywhere practical.Peter from Germany – 17 May 2024 (7/10)
Due to an international fair, this was the only option I could book in Munich for a reasonable price, even two months in advance. This is a studio in an apartment block located in a nice green modern neighbourhood reasonably close to the underground station Arabellapark 10-15 minutes from the city centre. There is also a huge supermarket (NB it closes at 8 pm). The studio has a balcony and fully equipped bathroom and kitchenette. I did not need most of the facilities offered, but having a fridge, a kettle and dishes is always very convenient.
What could be improved: I did not very much appreciate the way the host communicated with me (he promised "no stress", but in the end I did get some stress due to lack of timely information), and although collecting the keys from under a stone in the garden turned out to be very easy, this way is not suitable for everybody. There were four keys, but only two doors to open, and figuring out which key opened which door was not always easy. There was no soap in the bathroom (I bought some and left it). The studio does not have a normal table; there is a very tall bar, but there is no tall chair, so using the bar was impossible. The wifi was so poor that I had to revert to my mobile internet. There was only one dustbin, so separating the garbage was impossible.Gina from Germany – 14 March 2023 (7/10)
The host was very friendly and accommodating. It was plenty big enough for what I needed, and there was also a balcony in a quiet neighborhood.
What could be improved: Just a few minor details like the kitchen could be better equiped. A few things were a bit broken, and there were no stools to sit at the breakfast bar. They only left one small towel out for me so I had to look in the cupboards for a larger bath towel. But in general the property suited my needs, and I enjoyed having the space all for myself and facilities to cook and hang out.Arne from Germany – 1 November 2023 (8/10)
