Hotel Description

Honestly, when I first pulled up to Aparthotel my room near the Messe Munich, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place — but you know what? It actually surprised me in the best way. The building itself is pretty modern and clean-looking, nothing fancy but definitely not the tired, dated exterior you sometimes get with aparthotels in this price range. I mean, let’s be real, you’re not staying here for Instagram-worthy lobby shots, but the whole vibe is refreshingly straightforward and unpretentious.

What really won me over was how practical everything felt once I got inside. The rooms are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner — you get an actual kitchenette that you can cook in without feeling like you’re performing surgery in a shoebox. The layout makes sense too, which sounds like such a small thing until you’ve stayed in places where the bathroom door hits the bed when you open it. The furnishings are that modern-but-not-trying-too-hard IKEA aesthetic that actually works pretty well for short stays. Sure, the walls could probably use a bit more personality, but honestly? After a long day at the trade fair or exploring Munich, you just want somewhere clean and comfortable to crash.

Speaking of the Messe — and this is probably why most people end up here — the location is genuinely useful if you’re doing the trade show thing. You’re not right on top of the exhibition center, but close enough that you won’t be dealing with the nightmare traffic and inflated prices of the hotels that are literally across the street. I actually appreciated having a bit of breathing room from all that conference chaos. The area feels more like actual Munich rather than just convention-land. There’s decent public transport connections nearby (though you’ll want to figure out the U-Bahn situation beforehand because it’s not exactly intuitive), and I found a couple of solid local restaurants within walking distance that don’t charge tourist prices.

The 7.6 rating feels about right to me — it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any major disappointments. Check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently, and the place was quieter than I expected given that it’s not exactly in a residential neighborhood. My only real complaint? The shower pressure was a bit weak, and the coffee situation in the kitchenette was pretty basic — but honestly, that’s nitpicking for what you’re paying. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable near the Messe without breaking the bank, or you just want more space than a regular hotel room gives you, this place makes a lot of sense. Just don’t expect any fancy amenities or concierge service — it’s more like having a temporary apartment than staying at a hotel, which is exactly what some trips call for.

Reviews

  • Kristián from Slovakia – 6 January 2025 (7/10)

Good location near shopping mall, some rearaurants and Underground station. Price was really good and apartment pretty cosy with new equipment. Fully remote check-in is also a nice thing.

What could be improved: Pretty uncomfy beds – too soft with strange pillows. No place to smoke despite the apartment has own balcony. On every floor should have been smoking rooms but it was out of order.

  • Jefferson from United States – 24 December 2024 (9/10)

Easy access and greatly convenient for a Munich trip. Short walk distance to malls and public transport as well as plenty of parking options. The apartment is cozy and has everything for short and long stays.

    What could be improved: –

  • John from Ireland – 6 December 2024 (9/10)

Proximity to Messe Munich. right next door. 2 mins walk

  • Hussawan from Germany – 5 November 2023 (7/10)

What could be improved: Very early to check in

  • Na from Germany – 22 May 2023 (9/10)

basic fertility is well prepared, one or two person are very comfortable for short stay. it is my 2nd time there.

What could be improved: no water kettle.

  • Natalie from United Kingdom – 16 March 2023 (8/10)

The location was perfect for the Messe Exhibition Centre. It is also only 7 mins walk to Messe West Train station and a large shopping centre with several restaurants, cafes, a food court and clothing/shoe shops.

Good hot shower and comfortable bed. Nice touch to offer free coffee making facilities.

What could be improved: For the price paid it was perfect, I dont have a complaint.

  • Elysium from Poland – 9 May 2024 (8/10)

A good apartment for a good price, however, on booking there is information that there is one double bed and there were two single beds put together, unfortunately it is not comfortable to sleep like that if you have a long break between

  • Farjana from Bangladesh – 14 March 2024 (7/10)

The room was clean and well organized. And the location was also very nice with good parking facilities. Moreover, the breakfast was quite good.

What could be improved: The oven plate was broken, so we could not use the microwave. Besides that, the bed occupies most of the room which makes the space very tight.

  • Jessica from Australia – 30 September 2023 (7/10)

What could be improved: Very expensive for what you got however it was Oktoberfest so I guess they are able to drive up those prices as people need to find somewhere to stay.

  • Elias from United Kingdom – 19 April 2023 (8/10)

The apartment is very clean and the instructions to access were very clear. Accessing is a somewhat tricky procedure, requiring two different pin combinations for the main entrance and the apartment door, however, we had no issues due to the instructions. The apartment is rather small but has all the necessary equipment and a very nice bathroom. We used the kitchen a lot and had no issues.

What could be improved: Everything was good. As mentioned, accessing the apartment is a little convoluted but we did not have an issue with that either.
