Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Aparthotel Adagio München City, I wasn’t expecting much from another chain property. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in ways that matter when you’re dealing with Munich’s notoriously tight accommodation scene.
The thing about this Adagio is that it gets the aparthotel concept right, which frankly a lot of places mess up. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show – I mean, you’ve got proper counter space, a decent-sized fridge, and cookware that doesn’t look like it survived the Cold War. That matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights, or honestly, when you want to grab some of those incredible cheeses from Viktualienmarkt and not eat them standing up. The rooms themselves feel more like actual apartments than hotel rooms pretending to be apartments, if that makes sense. There’s this lived-in quality to the furniture arrangement that doesn’t scream “corporate housing,” and the beds are surprisingly solid – none of that sinking-into-quicksand feeling you sometimes get.
What really won me over, though, was how the staff handled the little things. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no upselling speeches), and when I mentioned I was dealing with jet lag, the front desk guy actually gave me specific recommendations for the best walking routes to reset my sleep schedule – not just the tourist greatest hits, but places where locals actually go. The neighborhood itself is one of those areas where you feel like you’re living in Munich rather than just visiting it. You’re close enough to the action that getting to Marienplatz or the Glockenbachviertel doesn’t require planning your day around transit, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant street noise or those groups of tourists who think 2 AM is a great time for loud conversations under your window. I actually enjoyed my morning coffee runs to the bakery around the corner – there’s something satisfying about having a routine in a city that isn’t yours. The 7.6 rating feels about right, honestly. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, and the decor is more “contemporary functional” than Instagram-worthy, but it delivers on what matters: clean, comfortable, genuinely useful space with people who seem to care about doing their jobs well rather than just going through the motions.

Great, central location. Close to HBF, shops, cafes and the Fruhlingsfest/Oktoberfest site. Walking distance to Marianplatz and the Viktualienmarkt.
Comfortable studio room with kitchenette, plus a clothes drying rack over the shower.
24 hour reception with friendly, helpful staff. We were very grateful for the advice to do our grocery shopping early, seeing the next day was a public holiday.
Free tea and coffee from the ground floor kitchen.
What could be improved: It was a little noisy because it was on a main street.M from Singapore – 7 May 2025 (8/10)
Generally hotel was well maintained, with a good size room;
the mini kitchen was excellent (fridge, microwave oven, cooking stove & utensils)
and the convenient kettle (coffee & tea).
What could be improved: The water heater was not functioning on the last evening, otherwise the stay was comfortable.Howard from United States – 2 May 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: A bit poor WiFi connectivityDorina from Hungary – 27 April 2025 (9/10)
Thank you Hassan , you and your team made our stay comfortable and enjoyable!

Lovely spacious apartment, very clean and as described. Very good value for money as only a few minute walk from the central train station. Area is a bit tired and there were roadworks everywhere which made the hotel difficult to find but we heard no noise in the actual hotel so sleep was good! Was allowed to early check in as our room was ready which is always a plus.
What could be improved: Having to pay 250euro up front as deposit, I didn't know about this and luckily had thefunds to cover it but it would have been nice to have been prepared. Also it was refunded to me on check out which seemed pointless as the room hadn't even been checked at that point..John from United Kingdom – 4 January 2025 (9/10)
Great location, easy to walk to most of Munich's major attractions. The staff were very friendly, and the coffee maker down at reception is free to use for all of your coffee/tea/hot chocolate needs (always a bonus!). We had a lovely Christmas break here and would definitely stay again 🙂
What could be improved: A better stock of cutlery and utensils in the apartment would be an improvement – the bowls and plates were tiny so serving 'proper' meals was a little challenging. However this was in no way a major issue and we managed to cook in our apartment comfortably enough 🙂Mariella from Malta – 25 December 2024 (7/10)
We could help ourselves to free coffee, tea and hot chocolate whenever we wanted. The property is a 10 minute walk away from the station, and similarly from Karlsplatz making the location quite convenient. The coffee shop just round the corner and Lidl supermarket close is a great bonus.
What could be improved: The door to the apartment and to the bathroom did not close properly. The AC at night made rattling noises and a few light bulbs were flickering. Also the 750 euro fine that you will get if you trigger the fire alarm is a deterrent and stops you from using small appliances like a simple kettle. We were also told to keep the bathroom door closed when showering as the steam might trigger the alarm.Kim from Australia – 16 December 2024 (8/10)
Location was excellent- less than 10 mins to the main train station

Very convenient location to train stations, bus stops. The bed was super comfortable. Iron and board was in the bed room. Coffee machine was a nice touch in the lobby. Can’t comment on the kitchen as we did not use it.
What could be improved: The shower drain could do with being stuck to the drain as it moves around. Shower did randomly go cold for a second when we used it.Grey from New Zealand – 14 October 2024 (8/10)
Excellent hassle free short stay. Very close to railway station and an easy 20 minute walk into the centre of Munic with all the sites
