Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Apart Hotel Messe Munich? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s refreshing. Walking into my room apartment, I immediately got that “oh, this actually works” feeling you hope for but don’t always get with aparthotels.

The setup is pretty clever, actually. You’ve got proper apartment-style spaces with kitchenettes that aren’t just for show (I mean, the stovetop actually heats up quickly, and there’s real counter space to work with), but you still get hotel services when you need them. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that makes you feel settled pretty quickly – not fancy, but thoughtfully put together. I particularly appreciated the little details, like having enough outlets near the desk and a coffee setup that doesn’t require an engineering degree to operate. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent water pressure.

What really makes this place work, though, is how it fits into Munich’s rhythm. The Messe area isn’t exactly the postcard part of the city, but it’s got this authentic, working-Munich vibe that grows on you. You’re close enough to the trade fair grounds that business travelers aren’t scrambling with early morning commutes, but you’re also well-connected to the city center without dealing with old town tourist chaos. I found myself walking to a great little bakery just around the corner most mornings – the kind of spot where locals grab their pretzels before work. The U-bahn connections are solid, and parking (if you’re driving) isn’t the nightmare it can be in central Munich.

The staff seemed to get that aparthotel balance right too – available when you need something but not hovering. Check-in was straightforward, and when I had a question about the washing machine, someone showed up within ten minutes with actual helpful instructions, not just a shrug. The building stays pretty quiet, even during busy trade fair weeks, which tells me they’ve thought about soundproofing. Honestly, for a 3-star place, it punches above its weight in the practical comfort department. It’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or concierge services, but it delivers exactly what you’re probably looking for – a reliable, comfortable base that feels more like a temporary apartment than a hotel room. Perfect for longer stays or if you just prefer having your own space to spread out rather than living out of a suitcase.

Reviews

  • Tanya from Czech Republic – 4 May 2025 (9/10)

    Everything was good.

What could be improved: Having to put long code in every time you enter the room and the building.

  • Diana from Germany – 25 November 2024 (8/10)

The apartment had everything we needed and was close to the train station and also supermarkets and a shopping mall with restaurants. The beds were comfortable. Very uncomplicated check in.

What could be improved: The apartment could be cleaner. The check out hours are very early.

  • Richard from United Kingdom – 15 September 2024 (9/10)

Location is very good for shops and U Bahn access to central Munich. The apartment has a good size bathroom and whilst the remaining area is relatively small it contains everything you need. The price paid represented excellent value for money.

What could be improved: Given that the outside temperature was no more than 18 degrees during our stay the property was extremely hot and despite leaving the door onto the balcony open and using the fan provided we were unable to cool the room. Drivers should beware that whilst the flat, No 87, is advertised as having free onsite parking this is not strictly correct. The owner has not bought a space in the underground car park and therefore you cannot park in it. There is free street parking but given the number of flats this is often difficult to obtain and the adjacent roads charge for daytime parking.

  • Sanda from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 30 July 2024 (9/10)

We could check in earlier – so grateful! We stayed for one night and it had everything needed.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Paulo from Portugal – 26 October 2023 (8/10)

Cosy apartment, easy check in and check out, contains kitchen appliances. Seems to be far from city center, but has near transportation and access was easier than we expected. Has a small mall/food court nearby that was really useful.

What could be improved: The smell was a little intense when we arrived, but after leaving the windows opened, this was not an issue anymore.

  • Vasile from Denmark – 27 June 2023 (9/10)

Free parking space , nice clean room .
We were only stopping for a night sleep .
Many instruction to follow in order to get in the room , but quite easy after following the instructions.

  • Flavia from Romania – 30 June 2024 (9/10)

it is very confortable for Messe Munich!. I traveled for business. a little bit strange because has not reception but very comunicative to reach the code system by phone. thank you!

What could be improved: very close to Messe Munchen! I traveled for businnes.

  • Mihai from Romania – 31 January 2024 (9/10)

Clean and new, hi tech to get in 😂

  • Zakir from United Kingdom – 4 November 2023 (8/10)

Had everything we needed. No complaints. Great location for the underground and access to the city.

What could be improved: The beds had hairs on them when we walked in so could’ve been cleaner. The plates were also dirty. But we washed them and it was a minor inconvenience

  • Nitish from Germany – 5 September 2023 (7/10)

    Value for money

What could be improved: They didn't keep knife and other cleaning stuff. They were asking me to purchase it. I felt really had . Later they kept a very bad quality knife .
