Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about the AMERON München Motorworld? I was expecting some sterile business hotel when I pulled up, but this place actually has character. It’s tucked into this whole automotive-themed complex – and I mean that in the coolest way possible, not some cheesy car dealership vibe you might be imagining. The building itself feels industrial but refined, like someone took a really well-designed garage and turned it into something you’d actually want to stay in.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re in Munich without being right in the tourist chaos. You’re close enough to zip into the city center when you want that whole Marienplatz experience, but far enough out that you can actually breathe and find parking (which, let me tell you, is not a small thing in Munich). The whole Motorworld complex is kind of fascinating to wander around – there are these vintage car displays and shops that locals actually visit, so it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some isolated hotel bubble. I spent way too much time just walking around looking at classic BMWs and Porsches, which wasn’t exactly on my itinerary but ended up being a highlight.

What really sold me on this place though was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth – no weird upselling or making you wait around while they “find your reservation.” The rooms have this clean, modern aesthetic that works with the whole automotive theme without beating you over the head with it. Good soundproofing too, which matters because you’re near some busier streets but honestly couldn’t tell once you’re inside. The beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have that rainfall shower situation that actually works properly. Little details like USB ports where you need them and blackout curtains that completely block the light – stuff that shows someone thought about what travelers actually want. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you stay here; it’s one of those places that just gets the fundamentals right and then adds some personality on top. If you’re looking for something different from the typical Munich hotel experience but don’t want to sacrifice comfort or convenience, this is your spot.

  Good location for a one night stay-close to the Autobahn. Fast check-in and check-out. Breakfast was good. Didn't have the time to explore the magic cars.

  The location of the hotel was perfect as we were there for the PDC darts at Zenith Arena. It was also very convenient for train travel.
  Staff and hotel were all excellent.
  I am a real petrolhead as well, so being located within Motorworld was a real bonus!
  
  What could be improved: Thought breakfast choice was poor considering the price.
  Rooms are great and very clean, but there was not much shelf or hanging space considering we were there for 4 nights. There were only 3 hangers in the wardrobe between us! We could have asked for more I am sure, but would expect this as standard.

  Was stunning and as a petrolhead, absolutely amazing having the car studio and then the room door opens out into the facility with the most amazing collection of cars. Only issue was we were awoken by a delivery truck that parked outside our window at 4.30am with loud noises for 30 minutes whilst they unloaded/loaded.
