Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Aloft München, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical Bavarian hotel experience — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work so well. The lobby has this modern, almost industrial-chic vibe that feels refreshingly different from all the traditional places you’ll find around Munich. It’s a four-star property that knows exactly what it is: sleek, contemporary, and unapologetically urban. The staff actually seems genuinely happy to be there, which I mean, you notice these things when you’ve stayed in enough places.
Prime Location Benefits
The location on Bayerstraße is honestly brilliant — you’re basically a five-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, which makes getting around the city ridiculously easy. What I really appreciate is that you can walk to Marienplatz in about fifteen minutes, but you’re not dealing with all the tourist chaos right outside your door. The Ludwigsvorstadt neighborhood has this nice mix of locals and visitors, plus there are some solid restaurants and cafés within a couple blocks. You know what’s great? You can actually get to the airport via S-Bahn without any transfers — something that’ll save you both time and money.
The Room Experience
The room design follows that same modern aesthetic, but here’s what actually matters: the beds are genuinely comfortable. I’m talking about the kind of sleep where you wake up and don’t immediately feel like you need another vacation to recover. The rooms aren’t huge by any means, but they’re smartly designed with plenty of outlets (thank you, Aloft) and decent lighting for actually getting things done. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and the shower pressure is solid — honestly, sometimes it’s the simple things that make or break a stay.
Morning Routine
Breakfast here is a continental buffet setup that’s actually pretty well-executed. They’ve got the usual suspects — fresh bread, cold cuts, cheese — but also some nice touches like decent coffee and fresh fruit that doesn’t look like it’s been sitting there since yesterday. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll definitely fuel you up for a day of exploring the city. The breakfast area gets busy around 8-9 AM, so if you’re an early riser, you’ll have a much more relaxed experience.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is the consistency — there’s a reason so many people come back here. The combination of that prime location, reliable comfort, and modern amenities just works, especially for couples who want to explore Munich without feeling like they’re staying in a tourist bubble. The fact that you can walk to most major attractions while still having easy transport connections means you’re not wasting time or money getting around. Plus, there’s something to be said for a hotel that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — Aloft München knows its strengths and delivers on them reliably.

Guest Reviews
located right by the main train station . the street itself is not in a nice area but safe very short distance walk from the old town and all the main attraction. right by the central station bus and tram/ the room was very spacious and clean / staff was nice and easy
The room was perfect, clean and had all the amenities.
What could be improved: fitness had no water ,even when I asked. No service.
Ok
What could be improved: but the muesli had chocolate in it
What could be improved: Price a little high in this period and not included breakfast.
The hotel room was spacious, very comfortable and the hotel was very conveniently located to the main train station and other transport, as well as being walking distance to the centre of the city.
Very clean and modern room
The room was very spacious and ideal for a family of four. The breakfast was varied and catered for a number of intolerances. The staff was very helpful with a problem we encountered that had nothing to do with the hotel itself. Staff was always available when we requested additional items like the use of the microwave or ice for our water bottles.
What could be improved: Nothing. Keep up the great work.
Lovely clean room. Friendly staff
What could be improved: Construction going on in front of the hotel
What could be improved: In brekfest there was forks made of wood. Those were horrible.
The location was amazing as it is very close the Munich central station. The room was very clean and coffee was even provided.
What could be improved: We would have loved clean sheets. I understand from an environmental point of view, but a change after a few days would have been nice.
