The whole setup is in Altperlach, which — honestly — I didn’t know much about before staying here, but it’s got this quiet residential vibe that’s sort of perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Munich rather than just visiting it.

The garden aspect is what really makes this place special, and I’m saying this as someone who usually couldn’t care less about outdoor spaces when traveling. But there’s something about having your morning coffee outside in what feels like your own little slice of Munich suburbia that just works. The neighborhood itself is pretty chill — you’ve got the S-Bahn nearby (which, let’s be honest, is what actually matters for getting into the city center), but you’re far enough out that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds stumbling around at all hours. Parking was way easier than I expected, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Munich by car will appreciate. The apartment itself feels lived-in in the best way — like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental. The kitchen is properly equipped (I actually cooked a few meals, something I rarely bother with), and the duplex layout means you can spread out without feeling cramped.

What I really liked was how the place sits in the broader Altperlach area — it’s residential enough that you feel like you’re getting a glimpse of how locals actually live, but you’re not stranded in the middle of nowhere. The 8.0 rating makes sense to me; it’s solidly good without being flashy, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want sometimes. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or concierge service, but if you want space to breathe and a base that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, this delivers. The four-star rating feels about right too — comfortable and well-maintained without any pretense about being luxury. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where having that extra space and the garden would really matter.

  The apartment is very spacious and very clean.
  Our host Ali kept in touch & was very helpful & informative about getting directions etc
  
  What could be improved: Not really a complaint but the apartment is a little bit out from the city centre but the very good price reflects that. However uber taxis are reasonably priced & there is a bus that gets you almost to the door.
  Perhaps some tea & coffee items could have been provided but overall it's a very nice apartment at a reasonable price
